change channel's name or not?

HI,
I have a channel with over 1000 subscribers where I used to post clips of films and various.
Now I want to start making entertainment content, do you think I should change the name of the channel and use it, or create from zero?

Do I also have to delete the other videos I've uploaded? since they have nothing to do with the new project?
 
Yes, you can delete them if they aren't associated to the new concept.

How many videos are there on the old subject? Are they too different than the new topic?

See my friend, deleting one or two videos is fine but deleting videos in bulk will harm your channel in long run. I never recommend deleting videos even if they are too old or based on another topic.

If you are still unsure of this then better start a new channel with unique email id, device and IP. But do not delete videos in bulk.

I will make a new channel at this point, because I would have to delete about 50 videos. The theme changes completely.

It annoys me because I will have to take back the statistics to monetize
 
I would keep the same channel ... and then test-drive your new content ... and if it works well ... change the name ...

But, if you test-drive the new traffic, inside the same channel ... and get poor results ...

You can simply stop.

At this stage, you don't know if the new channel direction will work for you.

You hope ... but ... ultimately, you don't know.

So it might be better to test it first and once you are convinced, then change the name ;)

if you will delete the videos better create a new channel, the idea to keep the videos is so you don't have to start from scratch again.
 
change it, i also have channel e.g valorant24h, before this the name "Akira Jackober" so i decided to make channel microniche and change my channel name
 
thanks guys. Now i set to private all videos and i will start to upload content. There is some best practice for how many video i must upload to scale the algorithm? or even 1 a week is good for ex?

Do not change the name, entertainment niche can continue with same name.
 
Changing channel name has no effect on the reach of channel. You can change it without any worry.
