Excuse me, what "Ice" are you talking about exactly? Aahahah Just joking, anyway yeah i know that "ice therapy" is pretty good for your muscle and stuff, but, i don't have a bathhub and i don't have that much ice ahaha I just prefer to do a super col shower

I mean meth

Yeah and that's the main issue. You could keep training and be phisically fit, but your cardio is just getting worse and worse. You know what motivated me? My juicy fat belly ahahahah And the thread of @davids355 maybe try to think about something (other than cardio) that you had while not smoking.

Yeah, i heard about a lot of people that stopped like that too, but, honestly, if you think about it is just the same thing: replacing tobacco with something. Some people replace it with just their fucking will, some people don't replace it because they never stop and some people replace it with something else.

QUICK UPDATE

So, i finished the paper to roll my tobacco. So i wanted to go the tabacchi store and buy some paper, but, before going out my dad told me "You know that today is a holiday and nothing is open right?" I said "No, but i'll find a way". The store near my house was...closed. So i decided to go to another store where they have an automatic machine for cigarettes. It's like 2km away and i decided to run, cause you know i mean fuck it, back and forth. And that's it, i jogged 4 km today.
Awesome! Step by step mate. You will have no idea how will be different running after quitted smoke.

You can do it

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I mean meth

Yeah i kinda intuited it, but, i still hoped it wasn't about that ahahah Anyway why did you suggest that? ahahaha i tried it twice, the filipino "variant", but i won't use it anymore. Strangely, i also didn't feel the urge to do it again, it wasn't how they describe it.

Yeah i can't wait to feel that sensation again!

UPDATE DAY 2

I woke up at 11 today, yeah, i stayed up late yesterday because ( i don't know why) i started to read Shit Lists, i don't know it was like reading a crime book ahahahahahha

Anyway, in reality i woke up at 9 to give my puppy is breakfast, but i did it like in "autopilot mode" but GODDAMN MY BODY HURTED SO BAD.

Went back to sleep and fully woke up at 11. Damn it's been a while since i felt EVERY SINGLE MUSCLE HURT SO BAD, SO FUCKING BAD. I decided to do a lighter, lighter workout:

5 Minutes of shadow boxing focusing on kicks combination: i'm trying to learn the "Question Mark Kick" (I don't know what's the correct name sorry) and i want to improve my left kicks cause they fucking suck ahahahaha
Tried also to switch stances more often, it was pretty intense nonetheless with a fast pace.

Immediately after, i did does "jumping applause" for 2 minutes (the plant of my feet were FUCKING BURNING). 30 second break. Run in place lifting my knees up (I really need to search those names ahahaha) for 1 minute. No break. Run in place but kicking my feet backwards touching with my heels my ass, for 1 minute.

I worked out for 9m and 30 second and that's it, i was fucking dying AGAIN! Didn't even strech at all, i went straight to do a POLAR COLD SHOWER cause all my body was like collapsing on myself.

Probably i'm going to do another light workout this afternoon, focusing on shadow boxing, burpees and isometry. I'll think about it later.

THE BEST THING IS THAT I STILL DIDN'T SMOKE A CIGARETTE! I'm very happy for this, because i used to immediately roll a cigarette after i woke up!

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

EDIT: I forgot to say that i did this light workout with a heavy winter tracksuit, rashguard, heavy hoodie on top of it and a benie. I don't really know if it helps but goddamn i sweated so much more ahahaha

In my experience you are following the best tactic to quit.

What you want to do is replace one bad habit (smoking), with another habit (working out). If you stick to it, I can guarantee you will thank yourself for it and by the end, you will also have insane physical gains, in addition to the health gains from stopping smoking. Seriously, stick with it. It gets easier!

All the best to you man!

Thank you bro!

UPDATE 3

I woke up at 11 today, but hell no i’m not going to workout my body still hurts BADLY.

I already did this mistake before, i won’t overwork, today i’ll just reeeest and be happy.

I’ll do some stretching in the afternoon!

Today also, i think i’m going to finish my pack of tobacco, and, it’s going to be the last one before i really try to stop. WISH ME LUCK!

Good Move! As they say, taking too much is dangerous. Good thing that you have come up a solid plan to eradicate such habit. Get these fats off! Try keto, less cabs, more protein.

Make the best out of quarantine. Good luck, man.
Thank you so much!

Thank you bro, yeah too much is always bad in every aspect of life! I'm not actually focusing so much on my diet, i nearly never eat garbage and i'm just basically trying to be in a calories-deficit.

UPDATE

Anyway, in the end i worked out...

I don't know why, it just came up on my mind before going to buy 2 boxes from the supermarket "Why don't you workout a bit?"

It's still a light workout but i'm happy that i didn't break the streak. 5 minutes of shadow boxing: still focusing on kicks combination, my left kick in the orthodox stance is improving, is not great, is not good, but it's improving ahahaha My low left kick is still shit ahaahahaha

After that i did like 2:30 m of squat-isometry (i don't know the exact name) i put my back on a wall and i went in squat position, stayed like this while throwing some punch combos. No break. Then i got off the wall and i did 10 Squats. 1 min break. 1:30 m in plank position, every 15 second i did a very very very slow tight push up then back to plank position.

I streched the hell out of my limbs ahahahaha and then i did 5 last "special" push ups, went down really really really slow and exploded when going up to build explosivity in my punches.

Then i put my shoes on and i ran to the supermarket (800m) i ran like a maniac and people in line were staring me like "WTF IS WRONG WHIT HIM???" ahahahahaha Fortunately the line was fast, so i got in, took 2 boxes of water and i walked at a very high pace to home. Did a cold shower. And that's it!

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!

10 years of smoking cigs
2 years of vaping

Quit both, now i’m stuck with this

First of all, i consider you a legend for you crypto suggestions back in the day! You really inspired me to get into that space and learn and research.

Second thing, this toothpicks, this fucking toothpicks are those kind of products that when you see them you think "How did i never think about this idea?" they seem absolutely fucking great.

I don't wanna stop with my "fitness" journey but if i see that i'm struggling when i'll finish this pack of tobacco, i'll surely get a pack of this...IT'S JUST GENIUS!

UPDATE DAY 4

Hours since i stopped smoking: 4h

I have officially stopped smoking, i'm happy, very happy. But my body already craves for nicotine, it's insane. I used to always smoke while working and this is affecting me in many ways....

I'm confident in my ability to stop, i already did it, i know it's not going to be hard, it's going to be easy, really easy (self-convincing myself right now ahahah).

I cleaned my 3 ashtrays, put them in a shelf just for guests or my GF when the quarantine is over. I'm done with this shit, i'm tired of spending money just to poison myself.

I'll wake up at 7AM tomorrow feel great and do my workout, get in shape and win that gold medal in the future.

Goodnight everyone!

Keep it up mate! You'll be healthier and you'll save money this way. I don't smoke but now I feel motivated to start working out regularly too.

UPDATE

Hey it's been a long time ahahaha

Anyway i stopped smoking only for one day unfortunately, the second day after lunch i bought another pack of tobacco....yeah it's sad.

I decided that i'm going to smoke when i'll be working out for 21 days. Because, as you might know, smoking is a (bad) habit and i have to replace it, in order to replace it i have to form another (healthy) habit like working out, my problem was that working out wasn't an habit yet.

I'll continue smoking, trying to smoke less and less each day, while doing my "daily" workouts. In the 21th day i'll stop smoking, and this time i'm sure it will be the right time.

I worked out the day the day that i stopped smoking, went hard that day, the workout was basically the same as the one i'll write down.

I didn't worked out the next 2 days to rest my body, but today yes, i actually went harder cause my body was fully recovered:

  • 5 min shadow boxing - maximum effort.
  • No break
  • 1:00 high knees running in place - high pace
  • No break
  • 1:00 high knees running in place - high pace
  • No break
  • 1:00 butt kicking running in place - high pace
  • No break
  • 5 burpees - high pace (i actually jump lifting as much as possible my knees, not just jumping with the feet down)
  • No break
  • 3 min shadow boxing - medium effort
  • 15 second break
  • 15 push ups - 10 high pace - last 5 really really slow pace
  • No break
  • 50 crunches
  • 100 heel touch
  • 10 second break
  • 100 scissors kick
  • No break
  • 25 leg raises - slow pace without touching the ground
  • No break
  • 25 toe reach - high pace
  • 30 seconds break
  • 2:00 of Isometric Seated Hold with my legs bent, basically i seat on the floor without making my feet touch the ground
  • 30 seconds break
  • 5 burpees - high pace
  • 1:00 break
  • 10 push ups - slow on the way down and explosive on the way up.
  • Died for 5:00
  • Then i strecthed for like 30 minutes.
  • And finished with a cold shower.

And that's it, depending on the amount of muscle soreness i will have tomorrow morning i'll maybe cut in half the repetions of this routine.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!
