Hi there!

Love BHW so I thought I'd turn to you with a big question I have:

I've been to both Cha-Cha's and Taboola's sites and am still a bit perplexed. I was hoping for a complete breakdown explaining both services, the pros and cons of each, and how to get accepted for and then excel at both.

I have 25 articles on my website, and am super interested in learning how to go about monetization

All the best,
Zachary Williams

What kind of site are you trying to monetize it with? Like viralnova or upworthy? I know taboola requires you to have at least 500k-1m visitors per month to get in (someone can correct me if I'm wrong)

That sounds about right. I was looking into taboola a couple of weeks ago but starting reading about the crazy restrictions to get in so I ended up going with content.ad. So far doing pretty well with them.

What are requirements for content.ad? How much minimum traffic?

I once applied for Cha Cha and did not even get a reply. Taboola asks for a lot of traffic, but they offered me to pay a little fee in order to insert their widget and get some traffic.

I signed up a few days ago, they want 1k visitors a day minimum.

Do they ask for a proof of traffic? Are you satisfied with them?

I thought about buying traffic from SEO clerks just to qualify for some of these services (MGID asked 3k a day). Is it worth it?

Wow- Had no idea. I'm not getting close to enough traffic. Is there a competitive alternative to either of these sites?

I believe once you set up the widgets of the content.ad on your site. They will manual check out your site if it fits in their requirements.

What happened to me was, I didn't have enough content on my site. I had the traffic (sent 2k visitors to an article in one go from my social media accounts) but they wanted more content so they ended up telling to add more content and contact them to activate the ads for me. They also asked me what were the top visiting countries are as well.

When I signed up for content.ad I didn't have 1000 visitors a day and haven't had that many a day since. I was approved pretty quickly too. No questions asked.

Anyone can tell me some network like content.ad which pays publishers on payoneer/skrill/paxum?

Taboola is very good however I think that is pretty hard to get accepted.

I send social media traffic to a few sites and one of them has about a couple thousand impressions a month and I hooked Adsense an a Content.ad widget and it got approved in 24 hours.

Taboola is a goal you could strive for, but Content.ad will get you situated for the time being.

Try going for secondary or top 20 networks and decipher through them and you may get a cream of the crop or learn how some are better or worse than others.

When I started getting into CPA networks a few years ago, I registered to all top 50 networks and some are ranked in the top 5 compared to when they were listed above the 20 mark.

The same thing is happening to all these tier 1/2 CPC social media startups so be sure to get yourself locked in early. I'm doing it for the second time now and I have all I need so far.
