Caught an 84lb Catfish today

The fight lasted best part of 30 minutes. Im in thailand, there are huge fish out here. im going again next week to a lake full of arapaima

Oh ye. Nice one. Im not that much into fishing but my m8 talked me into buying a flyfishing set for pike. So i hope catch some fuckers this summer.
The thailand and that area are great for fishing i seen some documents. When i get there i will definitely want to fish there since in here you can't catch that big ones. Well maybe maximum fishes are some 40lbs salmon.

That fish is pangasius pangasius, a type of shark catfish. It is also a common aquarium fish but can grow huge in natural habitat. It is also commonly called as yellow tail catfish. Common in asia.

That's almost a different species than here in the states. Yellow fins? Good thing it's catch and release. Cleaning that thing is like doing an autospy! Happy trails.

I've never seen a fish that big let alone caught one. I'm probably one of the least successful fishermen around. I have plenty of luck trout fishing on a fly, but for any other fishing I pretty much suck.
In three years of sea fishing I've only ever caught one mackerel. And I hooked that fucker through his back. He was probably only swimming past. Which is a shame as I only live a 5 minute walk from the sea, but it gets me away from the computer now and again.
