Case STUDY - Video SEO - Ranking A Video

I've been targeting a keyword with 40k Exact Searches per month and Currently #16 for it with CPC $1.5.

I noticed that the site at rank #1 has several videos listed on youtube, some of the videos ranking at #20, #25 for that keyword.

Upon Searching my keyword in YouTube, I found that the video ranking #1 in youtube appears on rank #20 on Google page.

I made my own video with some pics and Backlink Pointing to my main site on YouTube.

Why I am doing this case study? Benefits? -

1. YouTube Link on my Video will send some link juice to my main site.
2. If The video can rank #1 on YouTube, I get some extra traffic
3. If the video ranks #1 on youtube, Then it appears on Google search as well.

How Will I rank My Video
1. I'll send views and Likes to my Video from Vagex
2. I'll make 1000 Bookmarks to my Video.
3. Blast those Bookmarks with SB.
4. ??? RESERVED FOR SUGGESTIONS ???

Yes I made my video myself using Camtasia Studio. Pretty easy, just play around with it.

Vagex gives you free/purchased views.

If you have a VPS, just run the free viewer and firefox addon and it will give you 2k credits a day.

there is a video link pyramid that works well with the other video sharing sites. Try that on fiverr as well

This is a great idea for a case study! I often try to rank videos for the keywords im targeting.

On thing I have noticed is that you can blast alot more links to a video without getting sandboxed than you can a website.

I think this is because google knows that sometimes videos go viral and get thousands of links overnight so this docent look suspicious but a new website getting thousands of links overnight can look suspicious.

I have had good results with blasting the videos with high pr forum profiles via xrumer.

anyway good luck with the case study!

I am doing exactly the same with a local search term - focusing of social bookmarking, SEnuke, and also using AMR to blast some article links to it.

Just started it 3 days ago, and hopefully the video will appear in the results, however one thing I am competing with (which you probably are not) is local Google maps listings.

It will be an interesting little experiment, hope yours goes well too!

2. 5000 AA SB Blast To Bookmarks ✔
3. Added Video to Vagex ✔

Will report back tomorrow to see whats happening with my video.

My Video's On 21st Postion On YouTube Now.

I Forgot to Mention it is a 2 word keyword.

I need to pump in more views and likes and may be even build more links tomorrow.

Running Vagex Viewer, Firefox client on BERMAN hosting VPS, to get as many credits as I can.

You can direct blast it with scrapebox too (it wont get sandboxed easily). Also embed that video with article (can be spunned) on few web 2.0's and bookmark + blast those.

I have also used videos to send link juice to my site and I think they are very powerfull.
