Great post, though I reread the thread for like the 4th time to get some clues about what's going on, lol!
I like the way you present your case studies which makes things really interesting... I'm just wondering -
basecamps = 2.0s?
watch towers = spam comments links?
Do you use lots of new keywords (or even plain url) as anchor texts with your methods? I've a good few sites burned to grounds and I'm still not giving up on them just yet!

Answer is in the text, i discuised so that those who aint serious about IM wont find it, but if your IM'ers you should get pointers and if you understood the message, it's the right message and use it! this doesnt have multiple conclusions
only one, so the one you pick up is the one.I didnt use lots of keywords, but now i'm throwing in "click here" backlinks aswell to make my linkin more diverse.
Sites which are burned to ground should me advertised via forums and public boards around that niche until google comes back with way more logic algo.
