Sorry but this is just utter nonsense peddled by so called Shopify guru's to keep n00bs uninformed, with woo you don't need to know shit about coding, sure there is a learning curve on how to use the software but it isn't bigger then with Shopify, the only thing that is a pain in the ass (like with all ecommerce) is setting up shipping if you don't use free shipping.
Shopify is expensive, unworkable and heavily overrated... I do everything and much much much more then i could ever do with shopify and be profitable, because first you need a theme that doesn't look generic like the hundreds of sites that you have come across, a theme in shopify is $180 or you have to have one designed for you cost even more, EVERY LITTLE THING you need for your marketing you need to pay for, upsells, email, max customers, you wants something, you have to pay a subscription and they take a % of your sales.
Like i said over prized and heavily overrated by people like OP who want to make a quick buck on the n00bs, if you're a n00b and you want top dopp ecommerce, please do yourself a favour, take a view weeks to learn woocommerce (or any other ecommerce platform for that matter) and build your own store, you will thank yourself for it later on because you save soooooo much money on a monthly basis
