Hello guys, it's been a long time since I had a journey here, the last one was very succesfull and it was my first attempt at making money on the internet. A lot has changed since then, I had my ups and down but the fact that I discovered BHW has changed my life and I can't see myself doing something else. English it's not my first language so bare with me please :D. So let's start with my plan:

I decided to go for a specific country to rank in because the competition will be lower and easier to rank. I will pick niches that are popular and high earners and adapt them to the specific language.

My monetization plan will be CPA, targetting offers from the specific country.

My main backlinking strategy will rely on PBN's, I will build a Private Blog Network in the specific country, all domains will have the country TLD and will be hosted in the specific country.

So far I have 1 niche website, for which I built 5 PBN's links with the country tld and hosting, and another 30 .com/net/org PBN links + some blog comments.

Current rank:
KW1: 11
KW2: 12

So my current strategy is to expand the PBN with the country extensions and hosting and see how the rankings will progress. As I go along I will build more niche websites and backlink to them from my current PBN as I expand.
This is short and to the point, hopefully I'll get some great results from this journey and you can learn something as well, because I believe there is a lot of room and unexploited potential in the market for other countries. Stay tuned for further updates.

This is a really interesting journey as foreign SEO isn't talked about enough. Have you had success with targeting different countries before? If so what countries/language did very well with you? And, what kind of niches?

Have you seen any success without building relevant country backlinks to the money site?

Looking forward to this journey and subbing.

It's my first time trying to rank in a foreign country, I don't even speak the language. I am targeting CPA niches, so I just browsed through the offers and searched for countries with good offers, then I was looking through the competition and I went for the lowest competition country with good offers. I built the website a few months ago and I only used the traditional way of buildlinking, meaning a mixture of blog comments, web2.0 and some pbn links bought here on BHW, but I couldn't break the first page no matter how hard I tried. So I checked my competitors backlinks and I saw a lot of links from the specific country, and I checked those domains and they all had hosting in that country. So I started to build my PBN around that country and so far I only have 5 domains and created 5 backlinks and still waiting for them to index all properly. So I will keep building pbn links with this strategy and see how effective it is.

Hey, I have read your older journey threads, looking good, what TLD links do you need? You can shoot me a PM

So, the comments & articles around the anchor text would be English, right? I'm trying to rank in foreign country as well, so I hope I can learn one or two from you! Cheers!

Yes, you are correct. But right now I am focusing on building a PBN for that country, meaning the articles and everything will be in that language.
The advantage here is that you can find very good domains for a foreign country because the competition is much lower, for example I found 5 TF 30+ and DA20+ domains in just one day of searching for domains.

A short update:

I did some more keyword research for the niche I am targetting, found a couple of more keywords and I added more content on the website + worked a little bit more on the onpage seo. Regarding the pbn links, 4 of them are fully indexed on google and I hope to see some changes soon.

I searched for more expired domains and in the next couple of days I'll add more. I plan to have 10 pbn links at the end of the month.
I also found a new niche that I will target, I did the keyword research for it and bought the domain, I'll start working on the website as soon as possible.

Just saw your old journey, glad to know u did well! I am trying to rank for foreign country as well as except I will be using the keyword in that language instead of all english, I would keep my eye on this thread :D

I am also using the keyword in the foreign language, I don't try to rank any english keywords.

A short update about the rankings:

KW1: 9(+2)
KW2: 8(+4)

I also got a 5.19 $ lead from the website which is great.

any update????????????????????

No important update to report, I scraped more domains and now I am just slowly building more PBN sites. I also did some keyword research and I found 2 niches with relatively low competition I will go after. As far as rankings go:

KW1: 11
KW2: 10

They are dancing a bit between the positions, hopefully after the PBN links fully index and settle to see a nice boost.

A little update:

So like I said I was looking to start a new website, so I chose a new niche and designed a landing page. I sent some articles to be translated on fiverr and I'm waiting for them, hopefully I'll have the site up and running today.

Regarding my first website, I bought some local citations from the BST section to show google that I target a specific country and give me more relevance. Rankings are also slowly climbing up, it seems that the PBN's are doing their magic.

KW1: 8(+3)
KW2: 6(+4)

Plan of action:

After the 2nd website is fully complete, I'll start by sending some social signals + local citations, and then slowly start adding PBN links from my current country PBN. For this website I managed to catch an EMD, so that's that.
I plan on keep adding domains to my PBN, I usually pay like 30 euros~ for domain and host a year, the domains I scrape them myself and have an in-depth analysis of the domain before I add them to my network.
And I got another lead from the website, so that's nice. So far the website has made: 31.22$. After I break top5 for both keywords I expect to make daily leads.

Hello,

I would like to know: what country do you target? And you said you didn't speak the language of this country: so how do you know if the translation you ordered are good?

I am targeting Italy, and I don't really speak the language but I understand it a bit. I look at the reviews first and if they are all positive, I just give the job to the translator.

Update of my rankings, first two are the main keywords:

A short update:

So I finished my 2nd website, it got indexed and it started bringing me leads from the first day, I got really lucky I guess, because some long tail keywords are ranking on the first page.
The serps for the 1st website are the same, the main keywords are ranked on the 1st page and constantly bringing me traffic, and today with both sites combined I made so far: 40$, so things are going along nicely.

How effective this strategy is. What kind of CPA offer are you in? email submit? or sale? or other

Nice to see that you're getting success. How many keywords on average do you try to rank for per site? How much are you spending on the foreign hosting, country extension domain, content, and the expired domains?
