[Case Study] Ranking A New Website From Scratch To Top

Subscribed, thanks and rep given for this case study, its rare to see such things.
Case study also seems to be very well presented

My personal opinion is your 1-6 keywords are are keywords with perhaps to big search volume, hopefully you will succeed, so far i have not seen on bhw a succesfull keyword study (except one, where short time goal wasnt achieved, but on long term 1st spot was achieved, and funny but in that case OP got booted from bhw....on the only sucessfull case study)

After seeing the 0 competition for the first keywords, i was starting to think about it :D

In the past I've even found keywords with 20-30k exact searches and that kind of competition :)

That's a very interesting thread. Tedious work though. If I could just give someone that diagram and they do all the work :D

Maybe someone here could turn this into a service or something :D

Anyway subscribed and will keep a close eye on your progress. Best of luck! :)

How long do you think it will take to complete the whole project and rank?

I'm not really sure because I don't want to rush things and go on a link building spree.. But once I start seeing some results I will know how much time it will take to reach the top!

great, subscribed!
wondering how did you find the 0 competition keywords with MS?
good luck!

Not with MS but manually with GKT. I only use MS to check for competition of keywords.

You have a good technique outlines here, but one thing I would recommend is to lower the amounts of links from wiki and article directories from 1k to 100-150 at the most. You don't want that many links of the smae type going to your money site. If you calculate the percentage of links that are wikis and articles, compared to all the other links, you'll see what I mean.

Any one type of link shouldn't be more than 30-40% (at the most) of your overall linking campaign!

Good point! 100 it is then. Shall I use other platforms then like Jcow, Dolphin etc?

Interesting, subbed, good luck OP. May I ask who wrote your content?

A friend who is on in this as well as a partner. He takes care of all the content that I need and I take care of the seo work.

I am following the same strategy for one of my clients websites, and hope to share something and boost ranking together
good luck, mate:))
