[Case Study]How Good Are Reddit Links?

Interesting case study, although 1 of those Reddit do-follow links might have done all the work.

I thought that multiple links from the same website had minimal value, but I might be wrong?

Yeh ! Your point is good ! Reddit supports nofollow link type in content posting hence try to make and ******** link type in profile information !

For me links from Reddit doesn't bring any value. Maybe for some niches they do, but for hard they are useless (just for tier 2 linkingin)

So we know it produces some power but not how much. Thank you for your case study!

1 links won't do the same... you can do a case study and see... multiple links from the same domain have diminishing power so it doesn't mean link 2+ will have no value.

Yeah, some people think they will create 100 d0follow links from reddit and in one month will rank for 'payday loans'... sorry... not going to happen.

Great little study. We need more threads like this.

I like how you are moving more link juice to your outbound links with internal links. People often forget that. I think it was Brian dean who first made me aware of that trick.

Dumb question, but can anyone make a new subreddit and add a d0follow link? Or do you need a trusted account?

Code:
Your account must be at least 30 days old.

Your account must have a minimum (unknown) amount of positive karma. (The amount of karma required is known only to the reddit admins.)

30 days old with over 100 karma usually work.

In my experience 3 years old with no karma works too, but they have more limitations.

As azaan said... 1 month old and 100 karma.
I'm not willing to test if 3 year old account is ok as it's much easier to get 1 month old account and... karma? it's so easy to gain.
I honestly don't know if it's better to use seperate accounts but I used 1 reddit account for a test site.

I want to add more internal link juice by posting in relevant reddits but I can't... the rankings are still improving and I haven't done anything since the last update (once rankings settle more or less, I'll comment more and see if internal link juice will move):

This is the update I posted on 9/10/2020:
keyword1: 25 -> 18
keyword2: 46 -> 32
keyword3: 53 -> 30
keyword4: 42 -> 39
keyword5: 57 -> 63

And as of today:
keyword1: 25 -> 14
keyword2: 46 -> 33
keyword3: 53 -> 23
keyword4: 42 -> 37
keyword5: 57 -> 56
So rankings are still improving and I haven't done anything.

So I am following this journey from start. Thanks for testing this buddy!
Whenever you mentioned you will comment for internal links, where are you going comment exactly?
In your subreddit where you placed link or in other subs?

I will comment in relevant subreddits... as you can see, the links to my profile are d0follow, so link juice from comments will flow to my profile and then link juice from my profile will flow to the subreddits and then to the links.

Great, and do you made all subreddits from one account only?

Yes, for this test I used only 1 account as it was a test.
For my money sites, I will use multiple accounts to protect myself from potential bans and stuff like that.

1 Account is better for spreading link juice across your profile, I also recommend you post regularly in the subreddits you create, as that also helps.

However 1 account can be very limiting when it comes to creating large amounts of these links. There are a lot of problems when it comes to that, mainly with limitations.

I’ve automated the whole process and it’s worked well so far, most of the sites start ranking decently well for low comp keywords. I’ll be creating a case study myself very soon.

Thank you for the advice. Yes, there are pros and cons of posting on 1 account.
I did all this stuff manually, you can't really automate comments as they have to be helpful (unless you want to get banned) and the rest of the stuff doesn't make me long. I only comment on relevant subreddits as I want link juice and relevance.

I'm very curious to read your case study... I believe there's still room for improvement so it'll be interesing.

PS: as I only build reddit links for myself, I think 10 accounts are more than enough for me.

I forgot to mention it, I get some comments from real users on my subreddits so I don't really need to post myself (not many comments but a few).

SORRY, I MADE A MISTAKE ABOUT KARMA REQUIREMENT... SORRY
To create a subreddit and a d0follow link, your account should be 30 days old and some karma... 20 KARMA IS ENOUGH (from my experience but reddit will not reveal the real karma requirement). My test account had 19 karma when I started creating subreddits and now it's 106 karma due to my comments on relevant subreddits.
