NOTES
An AdSense click, how about that. Also, instead of one link being in the first twelve pages, I now have two. The home page is gone, though, and the two links are to the two most-viewed articles.
Looking at some of these responses.
Matt88, I'll be re-formatting and posting a new pillar article today, so I will put it up on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest in a new board when I am done. Thanks for the input, and I'm definitely in a niche where Pinterest can be good traffic.
xinga, I appreciate all the time you took into responding. I'll definitely continue amping up my Pinterest progress. I'm at 26 followers now after a little over 24 hours, and that is with 500 followings, but 200 of them were people in my niche, 300 were people that follow them. I'll go in and unfollow some of the old, unupdated niche-based ones and follow more of the updated people who follow them. Again, appreciate the time you took to respond, and I'll take the suggestions and go with them.
HANDS-ON
Time to edit Hekke's article (the first of two). The article started at 1,084 words. While I liked the concept and content, there were a lot of changes that needed to be made and several things that needed to be added in order to get it to my personal level of article satisfaction. The complete edit took me a little over an hour and a half (I really just need to get a quiet room and some dictation software), and when I was done the article was a whopping 1,678 words, with links to reviews, social things, personal suggestions, and more.
I posted it to Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest with the featured image from the post and interesting wording, and called it a day. It's fuckin' Saturday, I've got non-work things to do.
PLANS
Tomorrow I am going to follow more Pinterest and Twitter accounts, start editing Hekke's other article, and handle the subreddit things.
Monday I am going to begin writing out a full-fledged guide that I am going to offer for an email subscription signup. The email form will be through Aweber, as I already have a subscription there ($49 a quarter). It's going to be on the sidebar of every non-homepage page. I am going to try and figure out a way to put it on the home page as well without it being obtrusive or obnoxious. I will also finish editing Hekke's other article, format it and post, and share on social media.
The guide is my big hands-on task for next week. That plus scheduling posts, gathering more images, and a couple other tasks. I'm trying to cap my time spent at an hour or two a day, noting that this hour or two is spent working on this project about 60% and multitasking with other things for the other 40%.
Again, I won't add a link to This May Work again until I get the log updated.
