If you got a few spare minutes, go ahead and watch the following video:

To quickly sum up his "idea":
1. Donating to popular Twitch Streamers (having TTS enabled) and supplying a domain into the read process.
2. Baiting them via a catchy message, e.g. "You're on the front page of xxx" -> As streamers need content (or are curious in general) they'll click on the website.
3. Basically getting a shoutout for ~$5 in front of thousands of viewers.

In my opinion, the try was very successful! He received 500+ real visitors, sold 9 products and made a revenue of $400+ for an investment of $15 donations! Unfortunately, he ended up with losses (profit-wise) due to the products being wrongly priced. Though the ground concept, i.e. advertising through baity TTS, isn't too bad.

Some things that should definitely be improved:
1. The store and products themselves. He set up the whole project within an hour, thus it's obvious that there is a tremendous lack of professionality.
2. Strategic placement of the donation. Sending the "voice message" within a speedrun, while the streamer is AFK, or alike isn't smart. Timing is the key.

... so: What's your opinion on this matter?

Ok I watched it to the end, This method works only 1 time per streamer. Its fooling them into a website and buying some products.
At first I thought he was spamming TTS with ads, but his method is not scalable and its dumb.

Thanks for your input!

Though I disagree: It's scale-able to a certain degree, i.e. you can advertise to smaller streamers (which often have lower requirements for TTS), thus you can squeeze some $$$ out of it. Moreover, changing the domain name every once in a while could do wonders with the method.
And even besides those points, if you already have a store in a suitable niche you may invest the next $50 ad budget into donating to some streamers (after doing proper research). As mentioned, the figures speak for themselves and the method itself isn't bad - the implementation might lack in quality.

The method is not scalable, The streamers are not dumb, You may be able to trick them for a second time but not more than that and you should consider maybe some one before you have already tricked them with this method, So once you trick a streamer he/she will be out of game for rest of marketers who do this method.

That dude in video tried this method on streamers with 20k viewers and the streamer engaged with the website and actually promoted it in his stream, Thats why he was able to receive a few orders. How many 20k English streamers with TTS do we have? less than 10, If you try it on smaller streamers the chance of getting order from their low viewers is slim.

Another thing to consider he is doing all these for youtube views.
