Now, with even and older implementation of a GPT-3 bot, you can spam articles for a given topic automatically...probably going to be a few years before google can detect such auto-generated content, but also, financial news websites have been using this method for years. Almost all articles you see on any finance/stock website are auto-generated by "AI".

Nah, they're syndicated. Big difference.
AI generation at the level we have now hasn't been around for "years" and certainly not at the level of a "Financial News Article".

If you look a little deep into their people and search over the LinkedIn, the company name is Pangolia, has less than 50 people (probably in-house content machine), and is being lead by a guy named Simon Treulle.
If someone knows the guy personally, I think they could help us by sharing some insights.

Do you have any ideas of how they found so many different longtail keyword opportunities? The dog and cat niches have a ton of competition.
Sure it's impressive that they produced so much content, but how did they find so many viable low competition keywords to target in such competitive niches? How did they generate so many different keyword ideas?

They just fire at anything. High or low competition alike.
When an article doesn't rank, just fire some links.
They are making so much that buying good links is just a fraction of the budget.
Money makes more money.

This kind of sounds like the strategy that has no strategy, so I just want to understand it. Are they generating a huge list of keywords and randomly attacking them one at a time without looking at competition and seeing what happens?
If looking at the SERPs could give them a good idea of how hard something is to rank for, what would be the advantage of taking random shots in the dark without accounting for keyword competition? Is this because they already had deep pockets prior to starting the project and used the random shot approach to see which keywords/posts needed links and which didn't?
I want to understand if this is a strategy anyone could employ, maybe on a smaller scale until you make some money to bring on more content writers, or if it's a strategy that only suits people with deep pockets who are simply trying to see which posts/keywords will need links and which won't.

I did an Ahref export and found that they actually have tens of thousands of links (literally 11k of them) coming from different Blogspot sites.
And most of them look like this.
The writing quality is so poor that even my mom can tell that these are pbn.
This case study might well turn into a test of "how long can spam survive" .

They also own 10 or more domains doing 301 redirect. 19k links total. I found this on a 301 redirect thread. They hide that from aHrefs.
