It is interesting to see they have the Table of Contents (collapsed) at the end of the posts. I don't see that helping a user, so just for SEO? Can anybody with more knowledge give some insights?

Yes, it does help with SEO.
Many of my articles rank for the H2 and H3s, just because the "Table of Contents" plugin creates separate URLs for each of those.

A few notable things:
- 1000 pots = 1 600 000 words (lol !!)
- Average words count per post: almost 1500
- Average of 10 images per post, all with the ALT attribute
- Some H1 seems missing

This isn't unusual, especially with newer websites (>3). Fluctuations happen, it's part of the game.
That said, going from 8 million to 6 million visitors isn't the end of the world. Guarantee this site makes bank. Most likely a smaller shop, run by a couple of people. They bring in experts to rep their website/write content to look legitimate and they don't cheap on content....i.e - they hire people who know the topics they write about. It's definitely a large investment up front, but pays off huge in the end.

Initially, I made this tool to ease my due diligence process when I am buying content websites (i am buying a lot).
I hesitated to publish it online but I would need to add a lot of features to make money from it. It's on my to-do list of 300 tasks lol.
