Personally, I use a case.

$2 case is better than a $200 bill for a smashed back.

ive had screens crack even with a case
now i dont bother with cases

Case.. Those rubbery, transparent ones. Has saved my device atleast a dozen times, specially after my son started throwing the phones around. :P

Best $2 ever spent.

yeah those jelly cases that covers the whole back and sides of the phone are the best!

Not thick inside the pocket and provides great protection from falls.

Exactly! Those who want to buy one, please make sure that the case is slightly higher (i mean the thickness.. not dimensions lol.. not sure how to explain this in English haha) than the screen. Otherwise it wouldn't do anything useful.

Even though i really dont want to, i use case all the time.
Sad that you have to ruin the great design, but just cba paying 300$ for a cracked screen

You mean, the case needs a raised edge / lip :)

These Otterbox cases are like $50 CAD but a screen repair is like $80 CAD around here.

Currently running with a case just because of the downtime I'd have getting my phone repaired weekly. If money was the only concern I'd run no case.

Rigid hard case on my iPad with glass protector, soft jelly case with glass screen protector on my iPhones

Case. Not for the phone though, because i use a dumb one, but for my tablet. Spigen Rugged Armor Pro.

Looking into using dumbphones myself for productivity purposes mainly. I have no need for social media and all that stuff.

In your experience has it benefitted you in a positive way? And is there anything you'd miss about a smartphone?

For me, the two things holding me back are: Telegram/Whatsapp and Uber. :)

I use a slim case. Just need the grip really.

It's a bit of a dilemma! You spend a few hundreds on a phone so you want to protect it with a case. As soon as you put a case on it, the phone looks cheap so you wonder what the point of getting a nice phone is. With or without a case you can easily smash the phone screen if you drop your phone accidentally!

Depending on your phone, screens are quite easy to replace (not talking about new iphones...). Screen/lcd/digitizers are cheap and you can replace them in a few minutes with a tiny screwdriver and a hair dryer.
Nice business too
