That's the kind of thinking that criminals rely on in order to predate on their victims. That kind of thinking will make you DEAD in Texas, where we all understand pretty clearly that if someone is in the process of stealing your property, you have the right to do whatever it takes to prevent the theft, to include spattering the criminal's brains across the windshield.
I took several well-aimed shots at the back of a fleeing criminal, and it was only because I had a puny .22 automatic that he survived. I carry something heavier, and more accurate now.
I've noticed that weak-minded people have a tendency to believe themselves "normal" and then assume everyone else is weak-minded, i.e. since they would be so terrified of criminal prosecution for killing someone in self-defense that they would do nothing, they assume everyone else is similarly handicapped. That kind of thinking is the 1st step toward getting yourself killed.
NEVER underestimate how quickly a person can react. Situational awareness is something that some people have, and other people do not. Those that do not have it cannot imagine what might happen if they encounter someone that does, i.e, there is a good chance that KVM would have the criminal's brain matter spattered everywhere, even before he even entered the vehicle. Criminals have more to fear from KVM (and people like him) than they other way around, because he KNOWS who and what they are, and what they are capable of, and they haven't got a fucking clue. One prime example of someone that made this critical error is Trayvon Martin. Unfortunately, instead of being used as a constructive and healthy example of what happens when a young person believes they have a full understanding of their situation and (worse) believe they have power, and they are wrong. It will cost you your life. Instead, the situation was used for other reasons and, I believe, many young people will wind up dead as a result of failing to learn from his mistake. He thought he was involved with a purely physical confrontation with a older, overweight and physically unfit "nobody" and that was the last thought he had before he was killed. I find indicators of that kind of dangerously deadly thinking in posts in this thread, and maybe some of you will wind up in the same situation, i.e. dead from failing to appreciate the fact that what you don't know might kill you.
It's a REALLY good idea to simply assume that everyone around you is capable of shooting you dead, right there where you stand, at all times. It help to curb certain notions of violating the peace, etc... and fosters a healthy sense of respect for your fellow citizens.
