Ok, so I registered a website 1 month and 5 days ago, I put some content on a well researched set of keywords with nearly no competition really, the first five spots are either yahoo answers, some other question site and just random pages that are not even SEO optimized, maybe one of them is PR1 but their DA and PA are nothing special.

I thought I'd be number one by now but no, I was on the 6th page after the first two weeks without any backlinks just onsite SEO, then started building some high PR backlinks and got to page 4, then 3, now I'm stuck in page 2. All my backlinks are on high PR pages going from PR1-PR6, I have a backlink profile of about 106 n0foll0w and 146 d0f0ll0w, my anchor text is varied and I have outbound links to pages such as wikipedia.

Any idea why is it that I'm not number 1 by now?

Thank you and God bless!

I've been adding content every 5 days, original not spun content, I wonder if any other experienced SEO's have any input also?

Thanks!

i've been seeing this a lot for a client recently. Those Q&A sites get a lot of fresh content (multiple times a day in some cases) and that fresh content is favored. I'd try some social signals and engaging with uses on the site along with good authority backlinking (though it seems your doing that already)

Yahoo answer and some Q&A sites are considered big authority sites, and G love them. So your competition is not easy at all.
I see a lot of Yahoo answer pages ranking on top 3 for a lot of gold mine keywords.

I don't have anything against new people in the forum but was honestly looking forward to more experienced SEO's advice, thank you all, anyone else?

I like how you just dissed everyone that took the time to give you some advice.

Your site is only a little over a month old, and you only built links starting from my calculation 3 weeks ago, so you need more time.

I am assuming that even your "easy" keyword has some commercial value, and even though you deem it easy it still takes time to get there.

You are already on page 2, there is a good chance too that all your links haven't been found yet. Wait a bit to see if you move up, if not start adding more high PR links.

That is the correct answer.

Build continuously backlinks, create one or more videos on YT with your web's URl in description and keep adding fresh content at least once per week. Finally, be patient, you can't rush on Google ;)

build links daily and put social signals to those links and to money url..
i ranked web site within 3 weeks from that method...

well, this isn't strange ! May be the sites on the first pages have authority better than you and some other factors. Or may be they have powerful social signals in comparison to yours. Do not ever doubt the power of social signals ! But this doesn't mean that you can't push your site to the top.

Do one thing. Create 4-5 web 2.0 sites ... would suggest ( wordpress .. blogspot on the top as they indexed faster ) and add unique articles on them. Add photos and create variety of anchor texts. With keywords in anchor text and "click here". May be 2 backlinks per web 2.0. Once you are done ... use social bookmarks and social share for fast indexing. Once the sites are indexed you should be getting rise in SERP ! Also if possible try to get 2 quality articles to top article submission site with do follow backlinks :)

For sure !

Give it more time and buy some edu links i would prefer u buy the crockservice gig on fiverr as suitable for you bcs they provide the highest quality and i have ranked through it thats why!

If you see lots of Q&A sites then why don't you add some Q&A backlinks to your site? Yahoo Answers, AskMeFast and Quora for example. More web20 sites wouldn't hurt either, try yola.com and webnode.com - they should not be over-spammed.

This is exactly why people sell their souls and get on their knees to get reputation/stars/etc

Ethan, let me tell you one thing, more stars/rep is not directly related to a higher SEO knowledge. There are some people with a ton of stats who know jackshit about IM in general; on the contrary, there are some members with very little stats who will be able to give you an incredible piece of advice.

Don't judge a book by its cover... Even more when the only piece of information you see is an online profile in a forum.

This is enough time for keyword to rank, since the competition is low.
OP,I dont think why you even do white hat stuff when serps are so easy to rank. Do some black hat stuff and bank from it,dont waste your time on it. Shoot me PM what you consider good on page or your url
