So far, with my use, this situation has been a good thing. It's usually in situations that bring about a popup, and other blockers just make them disappear without notice. With uBlock Origin, you can select "temporarily" if you clicked it on purpose but are just curious about the contents of the link, or you can click "permanently" if you plan on visiting this site regularly. It's nice to have a choice instead of the blocker just discarding them without notice.

It also gives you the option of just closing the window and forgetting about it. I just like he choice uBlock gives you. I'm not sure how to make the site permablocked. Never really tried.

I saw another thread of yours about games. If you like humor you should try to find the Leisure Suit Larry games. The earlier games are best if you can get the updated versions. The originals need text entry but the updated ones just need mouse input. Plus, they are funny as hell.

Exactly. Don't do that. Personally, I just like the choice instead of having everything blocked automatically.

I have been using adblock from last few months and also installed ublock origin today.

You can try adding the following line under "My filters" in uBlock Origin:
||popads.net^$inline-script

So the site hopefully will be blocked without warning. It might not work, but it worth a try.

I see no alert from uBlock while visiting the thread, but i can't seem to post a reply there either with uBlock enabled.
