I feel like a lot of people in SEO, especially the newer ones, often forget they can buy cheap traffic that will convert. I know when I first got started in SEO I focused so hard that I ignored ads completely.
By diversifying your profits into more traffic streams you'll insulate yourself from issues that can potentially lead to the complete downfall of a project.
SEO is volatile, and while it's our favorite way to get traffic, we don't ignore other possibilities to diversify traffic/revenue
Youtube, Facebook, and Paid Search Ads can help you maintain steady streams of income while in a down period
If you focus too hard on one way to earn traffic, sometimes you're ignoring a gold mine.

I think we do SEO because we don’t want to do ads or bring cheap traffic to our sites. Waste of money & SEO is cheaper & fun if you know what you’re doing. Let’s see your profits from cheap traffic, I’ll wait…

Not true in the times when google releases a new update every month. Only good for seo related service providers because their paycheck is guaranteed.

Absolutely second this.
Given the direction SEO is heading to, diversifying traffic sources is your best bet.
Currently, I am doubling down on establishing my site's presence on social media and forums. Already starting to get 4-5 clicks a day from a forum and social signals alone. Better than nothing.

any suggestions where to buy cheap traffic that converts?

Not exactly. Those providers have the burden of dealing with customers inexperienced in SEO. They believe they should rank just by buying a few packages.

This is not for everyone. Some don't like spending on ads.

While I don't think paid traffic suit every project (and I say it as a PPC guy), I totally agree with the main point of the post. Diversifying the sources of traffic can keep your project alive when the traffic from Google is hard to rely on.

I never managed to break even on my ads. I'm not sure why or what I did wrong, but I just have this fear of running them again as I feel like I'm burning cash.

I just want a trusted seo expert with competitive price to offer which can show results rather than talks, can someone help me?
