I think most of the time signing up as a publisher, after you filled up the signing up form, nobody really will bother to call you asking for those details specially when they got thousands members in their network. so I think Profeck's way might actually work if you don't have your own blogs, sites at this point, and just want to get an account in the network.

awesome info, regarding referrer scrubbing a new thing i found that is 100% is to go http -> https meta refresh -> https again then http then its 100% bullet proof

works with every browser, https dosn't pass referrer so you just need one pass, if anybody wants the code happy to share
