IMO the point is not that someone is away from SEO for xy months or years, the point is that the communication from Scrapebox is quite misleading. The main video tutorial in Youtube on link building "Building High Quality Backlinks with Scrapebox" is registered in 2013 with a very different interface with the Check Pagerank tool. Well, this is a problem because the tutorial focus on a "high quality" strategy based on something that is not included anymore. Better rename the video with "Building Backlinks with Scrapebox" or register a new one. Not very good keeping that video online. The Authority Addon is not useful because is linked to Moz rank and so it is expected that I buy an API key on Moz. C'mon.
Who knows where can I find a valid tutorial that explains link building with Scrapebox with a very recent version and so I can get something useful from this downgraded product?

First I do the videos to help the community and I do not work for Scrapebox, so its not on scrapebox about the videos its on me.
Second moz has a free api that allows you to do 2500 checks a month.
Third scrapebox has it built so you can load in 500 apis if you want and get 2500 checks for each one.
Forth Scrapebox is developed 365 days a year and has been for over a decade, its a lifetime license for $67 and it should easily be sold for $300 with a monthly subscription of at least $10 a month. They also answer all questions via support in 24 hours or less. Look at Xrumer, its $300 plus $10 a month and doesn't so as much quantity of things as scrapebox can do. Scrapebox hasn't been downgraded its been upgraded and new features are added all the time.
Fifth you can purchased the metrics checker plugin and then it works with ahrefs, moz, majestic, dom detailer and loads of other things for metrics.
Sixth I don't do consulting any more but if I did I would charge $175 per hour. That video you referenced is 18 mins and 24 seconds long so I would charge you $53.04 just for that information and you got it for free, so you are already getting value for nothing and complianing that google shut down page rank and no one knocked on your door, told you about it, and handed you an alternative for free on a silver platter plus told you how to use it.

However Ill sum it up with this. You already probably got $500 worth of value or more from my videos, and you got hundreds if not thousands of value already from scrapebox. Yet here your complaining about things that are not even true like that moz costs money and that scrapebox is down graded. Your entire focus is in the wrong place.
You should look at and say, "wow, its been years, and google releases, on average more then 1 algorithm update per day. Im sure loads has changed, but I have this great tool that is a lifetime license and has already provided me loads of value, and I have these great videos and I have this great community, how can I leverage all of this?"
Your asking the wrong questions. your questions are geared toward someone handing you a method that allows you to rake in the cash with minimum work.
The questions should be geared toward, hey community, can you tell me how I can do loads of work and get a great return for my work, I have these great tools and Im willing to work hard and learn. I know lots has changed over the years, but Im in to figure it out, where to I start?
Ill grant you that English isn't your first language, and some things may not have translated right from you and that you may not take some things the way that I mean them.
However my 2 cents is that I don't work for Scrapebox and that I have no time or patience for people who are unwilling to help themselves.
So my question to you is, are you willing to look at the glass as half full or half empty? It sounds like your looking at it half empty. You have every right to do that and you are more then welcome to do that, but you will get very little help and support by doing so, and also probably make very little progress.
Or if you want to look at the glass as half full then you can realize what I teach in that video your talking about is a theory, or a way of thinking, so that you can learn to think in a way that can be flexible and applied to today. Sure, google shut down page rank years ago, but what Can you use today? How can you apply the theories I taught in the video today?
What ranking strategies are working today? (personally I don't get into giving ranking strategies, but I can teach a theory on scrapebox, aka a way of thinking, and then you can apply that way of thinking to a working strategy and compensate and then dominate.)
Thats my 2 cents. If your after sympathy, Ill give you none, if you have questions about how to do something specifically then by all means fire away Im happy to help. However I think black hat worlds rules state you should start a new thread and not try and drag on this ultra old thread.
Also if you care to know my view of things on the glass its this. Some people think the glass if half empty, often society calls these people negative thinking people. Others think the glass is half full, society often calls these people positive thinking people. Personally I think the glass is always 100% full. Its just half full of water and half full of air. My point is, you will see/find whatever your looking for. So what are you looking for, solutions or a platform to complain?
