I have a marketing firm called "rapid movement marketing solutions" I am creating a website and cant decide on the domain name. Im trying to decide between:

rapidmovementmarketing d*t c0*m
longer but explains company

rapidmovement d*t c0*m
shorter but doesnt explain company

rmmarketing d*t c0*m
shortest...

any suggestions? thank you

Personal opinion - I'd go with rapidmovement dot com
I think this will be easier for prospective clientelle to remember
Also gives you scope to branch out in the future (e.g. if you extend into PR for example that can still work under the rapidmovement dot com banner)

Agreed, "rapidmovement". Gives you flexibility in the future for the inevitable pivot in business model.

Doesn't look like there any other competing businesses with the same name on G so you look to be covered on the registered mark front.

Hindsight being 20/20, it's always a good idea to find an available
(.com) domain name BEFORE you commit to a company name.

Anyway . . . Best of Luck! :)

agreed on the rapidmovement. definitely gives you more room to grow and pursue other interests in the future should you choose to do so.

Of course, you don't have to have a domain with your company name.
Depending on your marketing strategy, (especially if you are using more B.H. techniques) you may want to drive traffic to a site that is a landing page with an offer.
An example of this COULD be (I don't know exactly what you do online or offline) "flyerstodaydotcom"
This accomplishes 2 things:
1. Provides a layer of anonymity (a small amount) and allows you to throw away the domain if there are any issues with your marketing, and just use another.
2. Provides a value statement of what you do to the CUSTOMER, who is probably like most of us Attention Deficit internet users. They want to know NOW what you do, or they will click on another page.

Of course, a combo is good (use the throw-away domains for marketing, but after opt-in use your company domain), but remember there aren't even good keywords in your company name.
A lot of marketers use their company name because they are impressed with their own creativity with coming up with it, but the fact is that the customer doesn't give a hoot about "Joe's Marketing" or whatever, their eye is caught faster when it's something that gets to the point.
Especially with plain text links an www links where the domain is displayed (i.e. Adwords).
This has definitely been my own experience.
Great job so far, keep pushing forward!:D

I agree with ozblackjack

I prefer to use a combo approach as mentioned above by TheBlackHand. You can present your products / services which are generally the keyword rich search terms that your customers will be looking for:

"Guaranteed Page 1 on Google" blah blah

by

"Rapid Movement Marketing"

Keep Rapid as your umbrella for your brand and go after some keyword rich domain names to your niche(s).

I did, I got all excited because I checked the domain names and they were all available. When I went back to buy, I added to domain name to my cart and it said 800 FRI*CKIN dollars! lol, I must have missed the "premium domain" part. lol
