can you upload your brain to a computer?

maybe your memory? We still dont know where/how the sentience/consciousness is from which part of the brain or how it works at all

in simple language, it is called " human's privacy".
you can not upload fully your brain/thinking method to computer/in source codes/design/etc.
because computer is a part of tool. not the main of human life.
for what ever it is, you only can share about XX% ( ask the scientist for further details. above 90% scientists are european since over 1000 years ago ).
from human to science ( low percentages ). ie: in computer science at source codes, design, networking, etc.
from science to science ( 100% alias full ). ie: in science laboratory you react Hydrogen and Oxygen, then you get H2O alias Water ( ref link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water ).
sorry, i am only science student. that is what i know.

god is omniscient, he knows your future , no way he cant know.
but he gives you a choice? whatever you end up doing, whether sinning or being good, he already knows what you will choose before you do it.
that is not free will.

programmed AI is already able to make its own choices.

using technology you can play with nature/modify whatever to some limit.
it will already be possible to make artifical atmosphere in other planets. like what they are working on currently.
scientists are also able to modify dna and other things

if you are able to replicate a human brain inside a computer down to the last atom/particle.
the brain will work like humans.
the computational power is not enough yet.
it will need some time.

but they already have advanced simulations now.
your brain perceptions is nothing more than electrical impulses.
its an illusion.
it can be replicated in a computer just like how dreams feel real although it isnt.
if computers are able to replicate the signals of how you feel when you touch and object in real life, it can aswell be faked to make you imagine that you are really touching something even if you arent, just like how dreams work.

it will just be a matter of time before your entire brain data can be backed up to a computer

It's possible

I saw it in one of Arnold's movies. He'd create a backup of himself on a DVD before going out. If he got killed, someone would recover his backup.
 
You can't upload yourself yet. All you can is just make a chatbot that can mimic texting with you.
 
It is possible, we barely scratch the surface of the potential of modern technology. For now it may seem impossible but decades later it will be possible.
 
I think we might replicate it to some extent, but not "upload" it. There won't be a good way to tell whether it's 'uploaded' or 'replicated'..
 
Do you really think you'd know even if it had happened?
