Ofc, you could try a rebranding exercise, but with to much alteration, the audience will not be reached. my advice would be to do a trial run with your new content.

When the engagment is still good enough with a couple of posts, there’s no need to begin everything from scratch.

You could, but then I’d say don’t delete everything all at once. Those followers you have now probably don’t care about your new topic, so try a few and see how the reach goes.
