Can you make one big website about EVERYTHING?

i bought KILLERRRR domain and its already in health niche, basically i have categories like:
/health
/sport


im also planning to add
/business
/computers
etc

but i think expanding in that way might be shitty choice?

I want to create recognizable brand something like ehow but my personal ehow... and of course nowhere in size of ehow.

In other words:

basically i want to target a few niches on the same site to attract more links AND to create a brand instead of creating few microniche websites that will just target one niche.

now idk.. will this work? because it just wont fit to add computers there for example

Of course it will work. It'll take years to get traction, but yes it will work if you work at it. If you're looking for a quick win, look elsewhere. Bigger picture is SEO for all types of niches. But again, that will take time.

sure! but what i meant if actually mixing these categories will work.. because lets be honest, best computers website will be only about computers, if i add health and sport there it will be weird
 
Being an authority across the board will definitely be a task, you'll end up being burnt out before seeing the desired result.
Why not focus on the health and wellness sector which is popular, then let the members needs and wants be the driver in how you grow from there.
 
There's nothing stopping you. However, I don't see any reason for you to do that if the domain you have is as good as you say it is. It will be much better for SEO if you could just focus solely on everything in the health niche which is a HUGE niche if you use it right.

Fitness, medicine, healthy recipes, cooking, weightloss, paleo/special diets, workout routines, etc.
 
There's plenty of health related topics to cover in business and computers, so "health" doesn't necessarily eliminate articles on computers or business.

With that being said, Forbes has MANY articles on BBQ grills, despite being a "finance" publication.

Sticking within your niche will be easier in just about every way, but if you don't mind the extra effort there's no reason to limit yourself.
 
To make it work faster/better try to tie each page together.

So start like, health, health > fitness, fitness > sports, sports > business(club transfers and such), business > business, business > computers

Idk if that's understandable but all I'm saying is find the relatable topic to use as an anchor to slowly expand and develop each niche to maintain some relevancy as you grow the website out.
 
Depends on how you intend to drive traffic to your site. If you plan on using Google for most of your traffic then that would probably take you ages, but if you use social media instead it could get done a lot quicker, for instance:

Write a really good article in the health niche and then join FaceBook groups in the health niche and post your article there.
After you do that write an article in the computers niche, join FaceBook groups in the computer niche, post article there, and there you have it, twice the traffic as you would of had before.

Another good site for doing this is Reddit. There are so many different subreddits you could have an article written on just about any topic and post it in the appropriate subreddit.

I would say that the key to doing this strategy is being able to take advantage of all the different social media sites and their niches.

the domain will also be multilingual by the way so i think im reserving SUBDOMAINS for languages (EN.domain.com for example) and will have only tier 1 categories.i think having tier 2 categories would be bad idea in this case. might use tags instead of tier 2 categories to sort things

what are DA and RD of this domain?
if it is not really strong i would avoid multi niches
 
Personally, I would try to keep the killer domain primarily about one niche but make sub-pages for sub-niches. If it's health, for example, keep the site to a somewhat broad niche within health, then make sub-pages for the sub-niches within that site. If it's a killer domain, you wanna give it a tank and explode the town, not give it a machete and tell it to go full Rambo.
 
Worked out well for pornhub. Everything you want under one roof.
 
Health & sports are huge by themselves.

You will need a whole team to maintain a website like that to fully take advantage of it.

I think what will end up happening is you'll spread the power too thin and get nowhere.

I would stick to the niches that are native for it... see how they perform. Then try adding more after a year or so.
