Can you do too much SEO?

zebrahat Good advice!

Try to go as natural as you can and use reputable sites at first.

The term "too much seo" is misleading here. You are just paying money for links. Concentrate on content for several months.

If you are going after a Long Term Website. You should be Adapting what people are Saying here. Ask your Service Providers to not spam all the links in a short span of Time,Be a nice guy and Ask them to slowly build links meanwhile Get Some Social media+Give your Site some Authority,This way you can find yourself more Safe and Stable!

Always go for a single reputed SEO firm, don't do SEO from different firms.

I disagree with this.

BUT

I do agree that you can do too much. If you're going to hire multiple companies, hire them to do different things. You can hire one to do backlinks, for example, and another one to focus on establishing onsite SEO or creating articles for distribution, etc. They shouldn't be doing the exact same thing at the same time.

yes it is possible, google will look at your site and say "wow this guy over here has a new site with only 100 visitors yet he has 50000 sites linking in"

No you CANNOT do too much SEO

read his question
"For a new website and domain, is it possible to do too much SEO? What I mean is, if I buy a couple different SEO plans say 3 different SEO plans from about 200 a piece is there any danger?"
Key word "for a new website"

It is always best to start slow and measure your success which you can always scale at a later date. Doing too much when not needed could be counter productive.

I agree, it's also good to wait and see how well you rank naturally so that when you do buy an seo service you will be able to see how much it has helped you improve your rankings.

Instead doing 3 different SEO packages probably with the same orientation try and twist the methods.
1. Off page
2. On page
3. Social media

Once I did too much keyword stuffing in posts and my posts then start disappearing from search results lol

Definitely Yes! Google especially has been making great moves over the past few years on websites that are using too much SEO to manipulate rankings. Getting thousands of backlinks in a few months isn't a natural type of linking. I suggest that you do it in moderation and make it as natural as possible.
