Can you be successful on YT only using phone camera?

I know who is preparing since a decade to make that first step. They bought cameras, lighting and a high end pc. They still waiting.

Any tips for a beginner for best ways to do this with phone camera videos?

Adobe Premiere Rush
or
InShot - search for cracked version for android.
If you have an iphone, i dont know.

More less anything can be useful for example I find it pretty weird a videos of someone eating like a crazy man very popular on Youtube if you have cheap or expensive phone does not matter to much overall but when you get better upgrading your phone or camera good idea

I've avoided the YouTube game, but with this new generation havibg the attention of fleas and seeming to spend hours just watching videos it seems I must get some knowledge and begin.

I have zero camera equipment nor a webcam or microphone. Never needed it, so don't have it. (I don't even have wifi at home, just phone data, and have made money with IM)

So my question is, can I get by with an S10 phone camera for the first year of dappling with YouTube?

Edit: I do use a laptop, just no webcam on it.

yes you can it depends on your content.
but obviously get a decent camer phone atleast.
like iphone 12 pro max camera looks almost DLSR quality.

short answer no
wrong.
plenty of channels using phone cameras who have been successful gaining millions.
it all depends on your content.
an S10, iphone 12 pro or s20 Cameras are more than enough to make successful vlog channels or cinematic shorty story channels

not everyone will be successful on yt. not everyone who grinds consistently will succeed even with the best equipment.

a trash channel with funny lame or low effort content recorded with a subpar camera can do better than a channel that recorded with an 8k camera but whose content is not that engaging.

it depends on content.

phone cam is good enough to make nice videos
get a wired external mic for audio and a tripod/stand
some basic video editing skills helps to start, watch for tuts on YT, it takes minimum 10 mins to 1 hour to learn basics
use audacity for audio editing to improve quality of audio

yea this is a point i forgot to mention.
you need a phone but its a good idea to add a quality external mic , like the Rhode video mirco.

this is required for better sound quality.
stereo audio.

try to get a windfilter to filter out unecessary wind noise, then you wont have to remove noise in post production.

I started a successful channel with just a PS4 and a Family Dollar Mic, so yes. Just make sure the camera quality is decent.

I don't see why not. Well, it depends on what kind of videos you're looking to create.

Yes, YOu can, Too many YouTubers started their carrier with these. if they can so can you.

Why not? Tiktokers use smartphones, so it's not hard to be successful on YouTube. As long as your camera has good quality and you know edit videos.

i have 6 videos up and my very first one hit over a million views.

i recorded myself using my iphone sitting in my car. all my vids have 50k+ views and my channel has like 16k subs now

many people in my country started in 2013 with phone cameras and nowadays they have +5 million subscribers so I guess that answers your question.

Many phone cameras typically have up to 1080 resolution or higher, and some jaded folks here think that's not good enough? It's certainly sufficient for those starting out, depending on your content and set choices. If you're going to be a talking head in your den or bedroom, a phone or web cam will serve. Maybe order an external mic from Amazon for $25 for better audio. As for editing, there are freebie or open source apps (like OpenShot or Avidemux, both available from Portable Apps) one can use to train yourself in handling video.

You can definitely get away with low budget camera phone videos. External mic is a plus. Cameras nowadays are really good. Now editing and doing all that other stuff is a different story lol
