Look man I NEVER said they can not detect stuff such as spamming and manipulating the SERP-s for higher rankings. If they couldn't, all these updates ( Panda/Penguin ) wouldn't roll out. We would still be in the area of ranking with keyword stuffing and blasting our site directly with 1milion blog comments and forum profiles using Scrapebox and Xrumer.

The SEO game has evolved so much in the last few years and it always will. Keyword stuffing doesn't work anymore so doesn't spamming ( recently it does but on short term ). So what you suggest we do ? Give up ? Nope. We fight and use multi-tiered link building for example to rank again. I am sure that in the future they might roll out a complete human like AI system to actually determine if our site is worthy of ranking despite having quality links or 100% unique articles but completely unreadable.

Until that happens, I will make money and so should you! :D However, at the moment Google is just a bot with no "human brain" but follows some of the most sophisticated algorithms ever, so what you see written in the quality tutorials in this forum WORKS to beat these algorithms, so don't try to re-invent the wheel, just do it!

Now back on your case, since the competition is extremely high, you may need to wait more for the rankings to come and in the meantime do what you did 2-3x more at a large scale ( link building, social signals, etc.. )

I've been using YouTube to market products since 09, and I can tell you that backlinks will make you or break you when it comes to Google search with Videos.

So how do you explain it when people do SEO the right way and do not get results? Assuming someone has done it right, what is the only way to not get results if you have done SEO right? You must understand that it is hard for me to believe you or anyone when I am not getting results. You say it works, but I dont see it. It's not working over here!

Remember, I am ONLY talking about Youtube search. I dont care about google.com. 1st page Google.com results would just be a bonus for me.

I'd love advice. But I dont think you have any for me. I do love the discussion though. That helps.

I already gave you ALL the advice you need at post #13! Now, 1st of all you are in a highly competitive niche meaning you need to be patient and keep building links/views/socials etc until you come at the top. 2nd of all, you are not anyone to judge if you have done SEO the "right" way lool, I told you no one knows Google's exact algorithms except their engineers, so obviously since most of the people (including me) are doing the same thing as I said in post #13 and ranking, you obviously MUST be doing something wrong!!!

And for the last time Google OWNS Youtube! They are using similar algorithms and for god sake its easier to rank on YT then on Google at the moment so be grateful for that lol.

END of conversation for me, as someone else said if don't want to listen and still insist you are doing it right and the bot hates you then so be it!

P.S. If you want advice, tell us EXACTLY step by step how you did on/off site SEO and we can help you to point out where your mistakes are!

THAT is where we differ. It is NOT just me. It's lots of people who you are accusing of doing it wrong.

But we will see, because I continue to do it YOUR way hoping my videos will bounce back as you say. I cant wait to come back and tell you you were right!!!!

It is on page 3 and page 4 of youtube search that gets 64,000 global and 12,000 exact searches per month according to youtube keyword tool.

They want care about ranking on Google.com. I don't.

Just because you rank on google.com does not mean you rank on Youtube search. Right?
 
Can you rank on google with only backlinks? Low views/no comments/no likes etc..
 
It's pretty easy: make a really good video and don't worry about ranking because it will get views in itself.

OP: I've ranked 3 YT videos for a long time now. They were for medium comp keywords, but now I am trying to rank a high comp keyword. Check it out and you might pick up on something that you haven't done. Maybe someone will leave a comment in it that may give you an idea or something. 1. Thanks. I've never considered myself a marketer and hearing it from some kid is very heart warming.
2. Sorry I guess when I said a long time, I should have said since April.
3. I never reveal my keywords, how do you know? If you consider a 36,000 SPM keyword easy then you must know what you are doing.

erus, just out of curiosity what is the retention of your views? I've had a video ranking top 3 in Google and Youtube for over 3 months now using pretty simple techniques that are similar to what Thunder mentioned in his post #13.

Also, what kinds of backlinks are you using? It's hard to really help you figure out what's going on without knowing exactly what you're doing.

yeah i want to hear it. But i dont want to hear someone just claim it.

people say get backlinks, veiws, comments and all and you WILL rank. well, I did that and Im not ranking

So it is a little weird that all these people say it works when over here it is not working.

I believe you when you say it is working for you. so please believe me when I say it is NOT working for me.

But im still trying. I have not given up.

What would you say if you have dozens of people tell you to do something and it did not work? and i have spend hundreds of dollars on this advice. so what am I suppose to say? You want me to say its working when it isnt?
