Google sucks.
A monopoly is always bad for a market.
So yeah I would migrate from google if I find a better alternative.

Everyone is sick of it but seems like stuck with it. Can't live or without it :)
If you find some good alternative to gmail please ping.

Nice list but you're missing Google Fi which I personally use. I use it on Google Pixel device and obviously it comes with some of the products you list. Overall I like Android platform for my devices and I'm coming off 4 years of using Android / iOS concurrently.

Ask yorself why average Joe should quit google. Is there something better than Google these days? No. Can you replace google with 10 different services? Maybe, but why? Because google is evil? Because monopoly? That's not a reason for average Joe to use something different than Google.

Btw - these days people say "google it" instead of "search it in www". For average Joe using internet is equal to using google. Most non tech people dont know about bing at all. In short this thread is pointless, so my post :poop:

Google was good, now Google is bad but in some ways we all have to live with it.

Let's see when google lose its position.

Let's see when google lose its position.

As someone who posts 100 messages per day (100 since you joined yesterday)....Google might lose its position when you will be approaching few millions posts here ;) Either you or Google opposition better step up...

Google Duo -> FaceTime -> Skype Call -> Whatsapp Call.

Still sticking around with Skype Call.

It's pretty difficult to ditch Google, when it's tracking you even if you don't want to. It's everywhere like most large corporations, so they're still gaining data about you even when you're not directly using their products. I like to take care of my privacy, but it's all within a reason. I'll still keep using some of their products simply because there's no better alternative.

If there's better alternatives, then people would switch, but there's none that can compete with the resources that Google has.

Nope. I don't agree with their ethics but won't take the time to change because it's a pain. I don't really care if they're tracking me either.

I don't really think normal users would switch from Google. They've made everything so easily accessible from them.

There is so much hate for Google these days, but they're just fine with me.

Let's say for example Google loses its market share and Yahoo takes over (lol).

Don't you think Yahoo will try and create a monopoly just like Google did? Of course, they will.

They are just playing with fire until they get burnt just like 99% of the people would do. Nothing wrong with that IMHO.

All the alternatives to Google usually suck and either cost too much or do not provide as much value to the consumer.

If there isn´t too much difference between Google apps and the ones you are proposing, i rather keep using an all-in-one tool rather than installing 10+ different apps.
