Can we update the marketplace thread by adding the reviews?

My question is can we update the marketplace thread by adding the reviews in it?

And can we change the sub forum also of the marketplace thread?

You can’t. Marketplace mods can but in most cases, you’d need a legitimate reason for edits and sometimes even a secondary review process.

Not sure if you already have a thread live but if you do, using the report function on it should work.

I'm not a marketplce mod.

You can contact the mod who approved your BST for any editing that you need. it can be done in no time.

You can ask us to move it and we will do it if we think it appropriate without a fee.

For changes you do need to pay the forum though as that is standard policy.

To move it just report it and ask for it to be moved to whatever forum you think is proper and if the staff thinks it belongs there we will gladly move it.

During the BST approval process you can have changes done at no charge as it is not a live thread publicly and part of the approval process is making sure all is good to go with a thread.

Edit: leaving this open if there are more questions related to the topic but if another staff member thinks it is asked and answered it is 100000% fine with me if they lock it.

But then, can't someone just have a big image as the content of the bst (which many already have), which is hosted on their own server? In that case, they could change the content on the fly without someone having to do it for them manually..

Is this against the terms? Is this atall possible?

Not against the rules but get caught changing pricing and your BST gets closed if you did not connect with a marketplace mod.

Something that people do now and then but it bites them in the backside once caught.

Yupp and I think bhw should do something to stop this. E.g., only allow image from certain image hosts, or something...

Otherwise, the seller could even change the things like delivery time etc like that...

For clarification, not something we like to do as we want all our members to prosper and would rather they come to us and let us know there are changes being made and run them through the process.

Punitive is not a Mod deal 99% of the time; keeping people in their lane is.

There are minimal times to be punitive but the process is really instructional in general.

The only hosting sites a seller can use for their BST images are imgur or imageshack. They aren't allowed to use their own servers or upload images as attachements, as is written in our Marketplace rules here:

Images will be held on a third party server, imgur.com or imageshack.us. We have done this in order to speed up the forum, improve page loads and avoid unapproved changes to threads.

If we catch a seller trying to do this, we usually just re-host the image from imgur and edit the thread so that it adheres to our rules.
