So, for a newbie, what is a rep thread? A discussion opened just so people can swap rep points?? If so, how lame!
 
Something I've noticed to be particularly prevalent in this forum: If people would simply "rep" and/or "thank" threads and posts based on what is said in them instead of who is typing them this ridiculousness would disappear over night and new forum members would have a legitimate means by which to gauge who they ought to be listening to.
 
This thread is funny. Whos gonna win the competition being first at 10k rep by the end of summer?
 
The bias to rep those with more stars and colors is strong here i guess. Repping should be quality of content based and not who is saying what. just my opinion.

Being fair, it's pretty strong everywhere on the Internet. But yes, it really does stick out here; probably because money is involved. I'm pretty sure that should some psychoanalyst set his or her mind to it, an entire text could be written on Internet forum neuroses. Sad as it is from a certain viewpoint, this forum and other things on the Web are some of these guys' whole world. They'll take what they can get, be that little green squares or the power to divvy little red ones at their caprice.
