Can we make a living on Blogging?

I am a newbie blogger and living in India. I just wanted to know is blogging a long time income source or rather I should depend on a college degree? I really love blogging and also have an adsense website which is just starting to take off with about 500 visitors per day. Please share your thoughts.

If you are able to rank something on big G, and if you can reuse the same ranking method to rank more things, then blogging can definitely be a sustainable income source. If you have 500 visitors, try optimizing your ad positions - try testing different locations for your ads to find a sweet spot. But if your account is fairly new, make sure to read their guidelines first, before experimenting on extreme positions for ads - those may get you in trouble.
 
The answer is yes, blogging can be a good income source, if done correctly with a plan. If you already getting results from one blog, try replicating the same and make another one side by side. On Page and Off Page SEO are most important part of any blog. Make a routine and write good articles of good length about 3000 words taking care of keyword density of 2-3% in your contents. True for now I am focusing only on this website.
If it is successful then I will try to move into affiliate marketing. I really want to make a living on it. Thanks for your suggestions
 
It's possible to make a living on it. It won't be easy, but definitely possible.
 
Yes blogging is great. However social media is replacing blogs. Since you are having a little success I would keep blogging. Another word of advice is you should collect emails so you can do email marketing. Email marketing is a long term income
 
Yes of course, another thing about blogging is that, the more you blog,the more you increase in knowledge.and the more you increase in knowledge and skill, more money for you.most especially if you are in the tech niche.

If India is anything like Venezuela in terms of living cost then blogging can be an excellent source of income for you

You should NEVER stop developing a college career. Perhaps you can mix both? Getting a college degree on something that can helpyou succeed as a blogger like Web Developer, marketing, graphic design, journalism, etc.

If blogging is something you truly love then, by all means, give it everything you got. There´s nothing than developing a business doing something you genuinely love. It won´t feel like a job.

I thought is social media need bloggers, publishers ?

I see social media is tool for bloggers instead isn't ? share via social media just hope got many shares , go viral = traffic to blog

now i see Social media is more like a instant store , a lot doing FB live bidding products

instead share info . I think I know what you mean is more like using FB page , post your daily thoughts , etc to your followers and audiences
the concept is kinds same like blog .

Social media killed Blogsy and they were friggin huge in their day.
I think today is more about the "Vlog" perhaps a Vlogsy platform is needed?
Vloggers make bank, that's a project someone needs to explore a little further if they have the time and dime.

I see is a lot gamers . yea kinda Vblog . I think now got new feature is it? the fans can donate something or what?

i happen to see some gamers stream they play games , than people donate I forget what and they say thanks

I actually just checked if "Vlogsy" was available to register and it's listed "Make offer". Big money in vlogs, in my opinion "B"logs are the cassette tape from yesterday lol

play game .even noob on it , still can attract many viewers.

if you see those gamers , either all handsome or sexy
yea those girls will show their sexy cleveage ......while play game

too bad i not dam handsome . so don't evem think of v blog , or play games online stream it.

The biggest factor is the keywords your blog is based around. Use a keyword planner and find the most profitable keywords within your niche and use those often throughout your content to maximize profits per click. And if your blog is based on a topic with low bidding cheap keywords, you can have boatloads of traffic and only make peanuts. But if you make a blog on a competitive keyword like lawyers or insurance for example... you could make a lot of money with not as much traffic. Keywords are everything.

You can do well if you mix your blogging with YouTube videos as well.. That combination can drive a lot of traffic to your blog.
