I've been Running some telegram ads and noticed something strange. I got a few gambling-related ads approved, but i avoided using direct keywords like "gambling" or "betting" - instead, i used more general terms. That worked... to some extent.

However, I'm still facing some issues. I'm starting to wonder if the country linked to the ad account is affecting approvals. Like, maybe accounts from certain regions get stricter review when it comes to gambling content?

Interesting observation. I’ve noticed similar inconsistencies too. While Telegram doesn’t officially publish country-specific ad restrictions, it’s very possible that accounts linked to certain regions trigger tighter scrutiny especially for sensitive categories like gambling. Geo-location can influence how strict the moderation is, even if the content avoids obvious keywords. It might also depend on the IP or payment method tied to the account. If you’re consistently running into roadblocks, testing with accounts from different regions (or using a cleaner billing profile) could help you pinpoint whether location is a factor.

Thanks for the insight ! I was thinking the same about IP and billing info playing a role. I'll try running a few tests with accounts from different regions and see if the approval rates improves. Have you had a better luck with any specific country setup?

Great point! I’ve noticed similar inconsistencies too. While Telegram doesn’t officially publish country-specific ad rules, it’s likely that accounts from certain regions face stricter moderation, especially for sensitive topics like gambling. It could be tied to the geo-location, IP, or even the payment method linked to the account. The country linked to your Telegram ad account doesn’t really matter when it comes to getting gambling ads approved,Telegram has a strict rule against all gambling ads, including online casinos, sports betting, and real money games. What actually matters is what your ad says and whether it follows their rules, not where your account is from,if a gambling ad gets approved, its probably because the wording was unclear enough to slip past the system, but that’s pretty rare and not something you should rely on. Even if it gets approved at first,it can still be removed later if someone reports it or a human reviewer catches it,breaking the rules too often can also get your account restricted

I'll definitely try using an account from a different region and a cleaner billing method to test. let's see if it helps.

Thanks for the info. but you're right - it's more about the wording and how strict the review is. I'll be more careful with how i frame the ads to avoid issues later.
Even the IMEI registration from when the account was created matters :)
I didn't think IMEI could play a role. Do you mean telegram checks device details too when reviewing ads ?

ESIM or SIM cards match with IMEI devices. Even if the number belongs to a carrier, it also gets matched with the MAC address.
In fact, they record and know most things in the background. This extends to the device region, date, and even browser language.

You don’t actually need to use paid ads to run advertisements on Telegram. Chat traffic is also very important.

You're right. telegram likely fingerprints way beyond just the SIM or IP. I'm focusing on paid ads for scalability, but i agree chat traffic has a huge potential. Have you found a sweet spot between both for conversions.

I use my spam software. I stopped using paid advertisements a long time ago. It’s not worth spending that much money.

Spam tools can definitely bring traffic if used right. I'm sticking with paid for now to keep things more stable and long term. Always open to learning from both side though.

some regions trigger stricter checks, try using Tier 1 geo accounts for smoother approvals.

Isn't the only payment method available is ton trough fragments? I have been running ads for telegram channel (betting) they got all declined recently yesterday tried many times and one was approved today itis declined again I will try to open an new account from another ip to see

Of course. Your Telegram advertising account is set up in a country and must comply with the laws of that country. If the laws of that country prohibit gambling, your account will sooner or later be flagged or blocked by the system.

Got it, that makes sense. Do you think switching to an ad account from a more lenient country could improve approval chances. or would that still carry risks down the line?

gambling is a problematic niche for telegram. if noticed by moderators, it's unlikely that the ads will get approved. They probably monitor countries with stricter laws on gambling more closely.
I've been thinking the same- maybe geo-location triggers deeper review. Might try accounts from more ad-friendly regions and see if that helps.
Yes, the country linked to your Telegram ad account can affect gambling ad approval. Telegram may apply stricter review standards based on regional laws or content policies. Some countries have tougher regulations on gambling, so accounts from those regions might face more scrutiny—even if you avoid direct keywords.
That might explain the mixed results i've been getting.
