Can someone use my IP address from another location?

Is it possible for a person or system to mask or spoof my IP address, making it appear as if I'm browsing from a different location? If so, how does this affect my online security, and what steps can I take to prevent my IP address from being used by others? Can tools like VPNs, proxies, or anti-detection software be used to both protect my IP and simulate browsing from another region without risking account bans or security breaches?

Yeah, someone can totally spoof your IP, but it’s mostly for one-way attacks like UDP floods or DDoS hits. They can’t actually surf the web or log into stuff pretending to be you, 'cause that kind of access needs a proper handshake like with TCP and spoofing can’t fake that part. Now, if someone really wants to use your IP in real-time, they’d need to get inside your system like malware on your device, a hacked router or messing around on your home network. To avoid it lock down your router (go for WPA3, keep firmware updated and turn off stuff like UPnP), run anti malware tools and keep an eye on what devices are connected and who's logging into what. If you’re trying to mask your IP or location safely you'll need VPNs or residential proxies. But make sure your IP region matches your browser fingerprint (stuff like screen size, time zone, etc.), anti detect browsers help a lot.

ditch chrome and moving to firefox
or mullvad browser or even tor

for ip. it's depend on your isp, for some country on asia, usually they rotate the ip, so you doesn't had dedicated ip at all. so it can be today your ip 1.2.3.4 tomorrow 1.2.3.5

for security all u had to do is just turn on any 2FA setting, so if ppl know your user pass, welp too bad they need to enter 2FA too

I'm currently using a VPN. Do I still need to buy a proxy or anti-detect the browser?
