Can Someone Scrape Image Sites

ive had a celeb pic forum for years, i got busted with something unrelated to this site and freaked out and took this forum down and threw out all the pics i had on my computer

i started it again, have to redownload everything i had and most older stuff is gone from the internet

i can get it on the wayback machine but you cant go into threads, just a that page isnt here message

i know its there from at least November 7th 2013, almost 20,000 pic threads

i couldnt pay you. its my life, it revolves around this forum. youd be doing me a great favor in recovering hundreds of thousands of pics i may never have the chance to get again all at once

When I visit the forum I get this message:

You should just scrape http://www.pornbb.org/celebrity-pictures-f15.html

Starting from the last page to most recent.

Problem is most of those images are tiny thumbnails which lead to the full size image so you'd need a script to somehow scrape the full image rather than the thumbnails.

Honestly you might have to do it by hand.

You had Total Posts - 19,059 with only 213 signed up members.

Seems like a dead niche to me.

I could be completely wrong and probably am though lol.

So you were just posting normal photos of celebrities?

That's even weirder than I thought.

honestly its just what i like to do, im single, old. i follow the celebs and download their pics everyday anyway

i get traffic, link to my other sites on it, i make no money from it. i understand people just want to look at the pics and arent interested in talking, ive been involved with all the major celeb pic forums for over 10 years and its the same everywhere, thanks for the pics, thats all

If you like the niche than by all means.

And I do see your point, most people don't comment on warez forums but they deffinitly use them.

## Installation

You need to install Ruby on your system (>= 1.9.2) - if you don't already have it.
Then run:

    gem install wayback_machine_downloader

If you run into permission errors, you might have to add sudo in front of this command.

If your hosting company have no backups, then you fucked up! Time machine would be not a 100% good method cuz some pages would be broken, no data etc, so I would suggest build it from scratch, bye bye to the past.
 
my hosting plan doesnt have ruby, i need a VPS. im getting some money in a couple days
