Can someone help me explain the $250 account limit issue?

Hi everyone.
I created a new account with an initial spending limit of $250 but after changing the currency country time zone it will be reduced to a limit of $50. Can anyone help me?
To avoid such error situations, I think you should use a BM account to have more stability in the daily spending limit of the account.

This usually happens because changing currency or time zone triggers a system reset; you may need to keep spending consistently to rebuild trust, or contact Facebook support to request a manual review of your limit.

This drop usually happens after changing key account settings; you might wait a few days or contact support to review the limit, as forcing changes too quickly can trigger risk checks.

is that personal account or BM? i am using BM account and it is stable, such situation does not happen

Be aware that changing account details like currency, country, or time zone can trigger Facebook’s risk checks, often resulting in a reduced spending limit. The best approach is to keep the original settings or create a new account with the correct setup from the start to avoid future restrictions.

Sounds like the currency or time zone change triggered a review or reset. I’d suggest reaching out to FB support to clarify the limit, as this happens sometimes with new accounts. Good luck

meta will increase your daily spending limit when you reach your current limit, don't worry, as long as your ads are not disapproved or violated

You only need to run campaigns on your account for 1-2 days, then your account will return to limit 250.

It's likely that the issue is in the settings area. You should contact support to better understand these changes and how they work with your account limits. You can also try clearing your cache or switching to a different browser to see.

Submit a support request through the Facebook Business Help Center to explain the situation and request assistance in restoring your original spending limit. They may ask you to provide additional information such as linked payment methods, valid payment methods, etc.

Yeah, changing the currency, country, timezone, those sorts of info in general, functionally establishes a new billing setup and Meta's gonna apply the default risk controls to it. In a way it's a good safeguard if someone unauthorised accesses your account and makes changes to it. Gonna need to build that back up by doing the usual consistent and gradual spending + on time payments. You'll want to avoid doing that too often as well.
If all else, you can try contacting Meta's support and let them know what went down and request a limit increase (for all that's worth, not guaranteed after all).

New Account Security: New accounts often have lower spending limits to prevent fraud and abuse. The platform needs to verify you're a legitimate advertiser.
It changed from $250 to $50. I don't think that it has anything to do with security verifications.

Do not worry, you just go to the camp and spend normally. It will soon increase spending. If you leave a big budget, about 500-1000 $/1 day, then it may only take 4-5 days and you have a good account

That is the current feature we are facing, the limit drop phenomenon.

That's a common story, practice spending less and less to increase your limit.

Low level of trust from Facebook. May also be related to an unreliable payment method.

Meta will increase your account’s spending limit once you reach the current threshold. Don’t worry, just make sure your ads aren’t rejected or violating any policies

New accounts often have lower spending limits to prevent fraud and abuse, making it very difficult to increase the spending limit on that account.

Actually, I have only seen cases where the limit has increased, never decreased. The account limit is 250, but it usually starts with $50 first, then it will gradually increase, maybe to nolimit. There may be an error, please check again.

that is facebook's hidden limit, you just need to spend on that account normally, the limit will increase again and even higher after 1 day
