Can someone explain this reddit technique?

Like I saw this in a lot of NSFW subreddits.

What people are doing to grow their subreddits is comment the name of that sub with a word and then deleting that account! I mean they are doing this on a large scale too!

What is the method that they are employing to create so many accounts for small number of comments and what is the logic behind deleting these comments?

Post images to illustrate your point.

When a reddit account gets banned, all of the comments can disappear.

If you delete your account before the ban, you can avoid having your comments disappear.

So, these accounts are just trying to spam and then delete before the ban comes.

I guess it is something like this. If you just use a bot to create the accounts and post the comments then it doesn't matter you can do 100 in a day and its no effort.

They are deleting their accounts before reddit mods bans them for spam.

Captcha is the easiest part to solve with a bot. Lots of bots for sale have the ability to solve captcha if you connect them to your captcha solving service.

I could probably just use a macro and install a captcha-solving browser plugin to create new accounts. Reddit is really easy to create many accounts on.

The service I have used in the past is called 2captcha, but I have not used them in about a year as I have just been doing everything manually.

but why? it's not even worth it. you can spam maximum 30 40 comments before your account get shadow banned

You just create new accounts and continue with the cycle.

First, it is not true. Second, what do you mean it isn't worth it? I have spammed thousands of comments with a single account before it was banned. I set up a python script to autoreply to whatever keywords I set and it posted 1-2 times a minute for 24 hours. A pro can make a lot of money from even 1 single comment if it is placed correctly.

Do you create the python script by yourself? If i find someone to deleveop it, how much it should spend?

I tried deleting my account and my comment also disappeared with it

Could I see like a screenshot of this type of stuff on Reddit?

I found some instructions on YouTube and other websites for writing the scripts. It took me about 1 day to learn. I would guess someone can make it for $10-$20 USD really. I am not a coder and I figured it out myself with online resources.

If you don't understand what we are discussing from the words, I don't think a screenshot will help you. It's just someone posted a link to a subreddit, and the account was deleted. So, on reddit, where you normally see a username, it just says Deleted. That is all.

Aging (just a few days is usually enough) + Karma building and natural commenting + Not including a hyperlink in every spam comment (but still on like 50% of them). The most important thing though is to make the comment something that doesn't look like a bot until they check your profile. Because if you get downvoted, you will lose your posting privileges very quickly (1 post every 10 minutes or something). So, I spent a lot of time creating spun comments that were spam, but like half the time I would get downvotes and half the time I got some upvotes.

Sometimes an account got banned very fast, sometimes they last a long time. I was using my real home IP address at the time also, so I think having a high-quality IP helped a lot. But I do not recommend that I guess...

appreciate you explaining. I barely spend time on Reddit but I’ve seen it multiple times and never understood why those comments stayed. I may now try to duplicate this.

I tried to delete my freshly made account but the comment also disappeared. Im sure its not shadowbanned coz the comment is really nice and not against any TOS

This means these people are doing something different and it is worth figuring out what the fuck it is.
