Can someone explain this adsense gimmick?

I have a health website. I have very low CTR like 0.3% with CPC about $0.4
Then to increase clicks, I placed ad below the title of posts in mobile view from amp plugin

Then I get CTR about 2% and now CPC is $0.09..
Why is this.. all clicks from US

Probably because this is January and you are likely going to see 4-5X less revenue than peak days.

Hard to tell, I use auto display settings and 2 ads within posts. I let asdense to optimize it.
