Hi,

I have graphic design background so forgive me if this sound an stupid question: Can a website be ranked without blog post or articles? I have a website where I offer my logo designing service, how can I rank it without having to have a blog?

for example I want it to rank in search engines for terms like: Logo designer needed, looking for logo designer, hire a logo designer. etc etc

Thanks in advance.

You can understand it in way like, Content is mom and links are daddy of the site. If any one of them is super rich or powerful you can get through it.

For ex :- Backlinko - powerful mom

Can't think of the exact example of dad right now, but yes I have seen various ecom sites where due to presence of rich or powerful or famous entrepreneur the site has got a lot of publicity or links, so in that case it will be powerful dad.

Not for the terms you want to rank for.

Unless you want to spend all your time and money buying links and driving social traffic.

Think of it this way, if there's no content or very little content on your site, how will Google understand what your site is about? And how will you show Google that you can provide a good user experience?

You must have like killer backlinks or something to do that id suppose

It's totally possible. I have ranked single page websites without too many problems. The keywords you're targeting seem to be too hard for your skill level though. Try targeting more specific keywords that have less competition

@rafark, how can I know the exact keywords my buyer might be searching in search engines? especally from Tier 1 countries like: USA, Canada, UK, Australia & Newzealand.

It depends on the keyword difficulty and the targeted keyword you are going after.

10 weak sites on 1st page is easy to outrank.
With just simple backlinks you can outrank them..

If there are 10 strong, authority sites on the 1st page you need onpage SEO (content, good h-tags etc.) and not to forget off page SEO (mostly backlinks) to outrank these.

You don't have a website without content. Images are apart of content. Rank your design work using image SEO.

By doing keyword research. Your case would include using google images.

Maybe in google images.. That's if you have backlinks.. Peope want to READ content and that is the only ranking factor.. Content and backlinks

Try "Image title" as your keyword. I'm not sure about it, just I share my thought.

no without content but with less content it's possible for low competitive to zero competitive keywords

It is not possible without content on a website. If you search for the term like you said, they are already having too much competition and dominated by authority sites. You need to find out long term keyword with low competition and write at least 500-1000 words articles regularly by making a blog posts on your website and build backlinks.

Everything could be considered content. So, really content is king.
Any economist will usually advise a client that a diversified portfolio will return stable growth over the long term.
So, you may have great success with one technique quickly but you never know how long it will last.
Algorithms change.
Backlinks -- content -- content with backlinks -- backlinks with content -- PBNs -- and everything in between
It all counts.

Definitely it is possible. Make sure your site is well optimized and have responsive design for both mobile and desktop. Images or videos should be user engaged one and user intent.

Add text in required places for better understanding of user. Use Low competitive and long tail keyword. And next links, build quality and relevant links, local listing, guest post. Maintain good loading speed and promote it on social media, create awareness and reach target audience.

When I say content, I mean Text. Ranking in images is Useless to say the least, because images are mostly search by graphic designers for ideas. Not the buyer, they use "Web" and the problem is that some big name such as Upwork, Guru, Freelancer, Fiverr, 99Design come up on top and they eventually end up hiring freelancer on those sites.

Yes you can. There are specific gifs or pictures related websites. They are also ranked.
