Ok, I got a situation where UPS has confirmed the delivery as successfully delivered. It says it was left at the front desk (sounds like it was an office or building) and was RECEIVED by: Talia
A few days later, the buyer contacts me saying they never received the item. They start asking me to send them a proof of signature so they can confirm it. The UPS delivery method isn't a signature one. It does say that it was received by the person "Talia". The buyer actually knows this person because I asked them if the spoke to "Talia". Buyer said Talia denies ever receiving a package.
My question is, how on earth could UPS know her name and write down "received by Talia" and then the buyer tells me Talia doesn't know about it? That's why they are asking for a signature but they probably know I can't provide one. I told them it's more likely that Talia has either misplaced the item/box or there's something fishy going on (someone is lying).
If buyer decides to open a case and escalate to ebay, will ebay favor me because I provided full tracking and proof of delivery, even though with no signature? Or will ebay favor the buyer for as long as there is no signature, even a CONFIRMED SUCCESSFUL DELIVERY status on the tracking will not be good enough to win?
Who will win the case?
