A week ago, I checked some content on smallseotools it said no plagiarism but when I checked the same on Copyscape premium search I found some sentences matched with goodreads book review. so I think you should not be completely dependent on that free tool.

Its a great example of you get what you pay for. It works but its not great, don't expect it to find everything.

Really depends on what you want to achieve there.
Yeah, it'll give you a basic idea and tell you if the content (parts) is copied from some major sites. It will struggle with spun content.
1text is much better and will detect even spun content from multiple sources but it might go a bit far.

It's free so if you have no money to pay for Quetext, then might as well use it.
