Can i rank this keyword??

The problem is that since i am new to this stuff my time has only a future value from the stuff that i learn. Since everything you learn has a value one could say that i should just go with any keyword and test.
But lets say i choose "payday loans". Then i would spend tons of time and effort and the only real assumption would be to never try targetting such a strong keyword again. I would have spent my time
and i wouldnt really know what i did right or what i did wrong. So what i want is to find a keyword to test things and be able to understand the results(positive or negative). I hope i make sense
Try spending your time, being more productive, rather than focusing your energy on spewing all this theoretical bullcrap.

I am really stuck on this KW research thing. I find some great (or so i think) keywords until i have a closer look. Kw difficulty from 12-30 with a good amount of ms and
really expensive products but all 10 slots are big e-commerce sites!How the hell is the keyword difficulty 12 when i have to outrank amazon walmart etc!!!??
(Keywords are not branded but categories, like 15 inch laptop)

i am sure if op reveals the keyword some of the good guys will rank it and let him know if it can be done or not

By the way you cant judge keyword difficulty trough such a tool. Just use it to compare all the sites between them and also find new keywords keeping in mind that backlinks count is almost always incorrect - so for backlink and anchor checking use ahrefs.
