Can i rank this keyword??

Found a kw with 18000 monthly searches and 2.72 cpc and emd (2 words .org .net available). Looks hard to me but the 2nd ranking site is a new one-made on august and has 2100
backlings showing on ahrefs. Keyword+another word in domain. Well enough said, you can see for yourselfs from keywordrevealer (amazing free tool).

Without knowing anything about your site, strategy, budget, tools available, your SEO skill level etc. nobody can really answer your question.

It's like saying "My friend can run a mile in 8 minutes, can I outrun him?"

I dunno, maybe, maybe not. Who knows?

I don't understand your question, are you asking SEO service providers if they can help you rank the site, or you are asking if you can rank the site without providing any useful information ?

You can rank for any keyword as that is what seo is all about. The real question is, how long would it take you to get that number 1 ranking if you have no issues with budget and resources.

You are right. There is no site yet, i am doing kw research to build my first -hopefully- authority site.

Yeah that's what i am thinking too. And i have absolutely no interest in that niche too.

Sure. But nobody would invest thousands for an adsense mns that has the potential of 15/month. So for a newbie in IM who has no tools and all seo work would be manual and services from the bst does it seem like a good niche to invest to?

You are absolutely spot on! All i have been doing is reading and reading for 2-3 months now to come up with a perfect plan. I need to stop procrastinating and take action.

Quick question to ask yourself: One basic concept in economics is opportunity cost. In short, it is the assumption that your time is valuable and that you could, based on your activities assign your time a value.

Before you embark on trying to rank for a more-difficult keyword, ask yourself: Will the time I put in overall be more valuable than the return of the project once it has met its fruition?

If the answer is no, then your taking on this keyword is illogical. Good luck, and also remember to try searching your keyword in only U.S. before settling!

The problem is that since i am new to this stuff my time has only a future value from the stuff that i learn. Since everything you learn has a value one could say that i should just go with any keyword and test.
But lets say i choose "payday loans". Then i would spend tons of time and effort and the only real assumption would be to never try targetting such a strong keyword again. I would have spent my time
and i wouldnt really know what i did right or what i did wrong. So what i want is to find a keyword to test things and be able to understand the results(positive or negative). I hope i make sense

one question for you..Do you find keyworrevealer to be accurate on keyword difficulty?

If I'm understanding right, you're wanting to learn through trial. That is what I did with my first site -- I purposely chose a very non-competitive keyword just so that I could experience the process once and learn from it. If that is your goal, then chose something with some earning potential but not as difficult as they keyword you are showing. Learn the noncompetitive stuff first, and then take a swing at a smaller target later

Give Market Samurai a shot -- search around on these forums and you might just find a way to use the trial version indefinitely

40 difficulty is a Difficult keyword to rank. Face the fact.

Search deep, You will find another one with low competition.

Yes that's my plan. I am in for the long run. I want to know exactly why i failed and more importantly when (not if) i succeed i want to know exactly why i did so i can scale it up.

The way i use keyword revealer

keyword revealer use moz api key same with long tail pro(i think...and already compare both of it)..but it give different result for Keyword Difficulty(just a little).as long as you follow the rules such low DA and PA also PR(the majorities had a lot of below PR 2 or PR 3),3-4 from result had none in title,url and desc then it's ok to go for it..the keyword you give ealier... for me i will avoid it,but if you have a lot of money then pls go on.

For backlinks checking i mostly like use ahrefs..(use for checking their anchor text)

maybe other use the different way to research and calculate the competition.
