This is going to be my first online venture (as opposed to my usual offline ventures) and I'll admit that some of the things that have been said here have gone over my head a bit (my IM knowledge is admittedly minimal). So I'll look into all the backlinking stuff a bit more. Don't suppose anyone could give me a ballpark figure of how much I should expect to have to invest in this? Probably a difficult question to answer without more details, but funds are low right now and I don't want to spend all my time on this if I'm not going to have the money to back it up.
