Can I not use a branded term in a domain name.

    Like ebay? Could I make say; ebayissogreatandthisiswhy.com?

    Not saying ebay is great, but you know what I mean. Can that term be in there?

    Ebay does come after domains registered with their name in them. My partner has had a couple taken from him. he kept one and told them to pound sand, nothing ever happened, but he did not put it to use either.

    Ebay is a definate NO, other brands would depend on who it is and if they care or not.

    [I registered 1 for our project and he was like err. we cant use that, ebay will shut us down]

    so if i wanted to use ebay the best way to do it would be in a blog, say whysogreat.com/ebay
