Can I Make Money By Translating Blog Posts

Hello guys, I have question for the experts around here. The internet, seo and such is not so developed in my own country and I believe that it would be much easier to rank for certain keywords and in certain niches that would otherwise (in English) be really competitive. So I was thinking to find nice blog posts and simply translate them into my native language and create my own blog with them. My question basically is can this work? Will I be able to rank my own blog using translated, sort of recycled blog posts? My goal here is to avoid researching topics that I know nothing about and writing good blog posts without really having much writing skills hoping to rank my blog and make money with affiliate native affiliate programs.

Not an expert but this is really "thinking outside the box". Make sure most of the time not to use couple of original posts from the same blog, if possible, make every new post from a different blog. The only thing I'm concerned with is the photos. But if you can somehow make their photos look "original" with flipping, cropping etc, this might be a good idea.

I suggest rewriting them as you translate so it's not a direct word-for-word translation.

It could work but I agree with rewriting/rephrasing them too. It's not new though I'm sure there are some wordpress plugins that do this or similar.

I guess it's similar to the method were you copy transcriptions from your own Youtube videos, paste them into Google translate, then add the translations back to the video to generate extra traffic in that language. This does work but a little time consuming.

I read somewhere about something similar, but the reverse - translating foreign articles into English, spinning them and using them in blogs. You should give it a shot.

Blog posts, if done right, ranks for sure. I see often blog posts translate from Google translate in my country, ranked on the first page.
Depends on the concurrence of the keywords, but you have to check first if these keywords are searched in your country, otherwise, you will be placed on the first page with keywords that have 0 searches per month.
