Don't be null and void about this,.he is trying to frightening you...

You don't be scared this is just a mistake not your motto..I guess so:)

Yes, now i'm warning on gig description about this so other people won't have the same problem I guess.

You can get sued for everything, whether it being right or wrong.
The question is whether you'd lose in court which I don't see happening ever in a case like this (bonus pater familias would never do blackhat seo in the first place).
Besides it's highly unlikely that he got the means to sue, let alone because of the impracticality of suing someone on such a weak ground.

First of all, in which country will he sue you?
In which country you can find a law to sue people if Google hit your site?

This guy is just a big mouth guy.

He buy an adult site link or was a mistake?
If was a mistake, try to clean it. If he purchase and he thinks that those links was bad... it was his decision.

However, maybe he can go to Disneyland court and sue you or maybe in Secondlife court :p Not in the real life.

Tell him that the article 399 bis of the Constitution says that no Gig purchased on fiverr.com can be sued he he

I saw you live in Brazil, he will go to Brazil to start a legal fight against you??? Brazil laws does not have juridistion on fiverr.com

You client sounds like a people that try to blame you for the Google crazy updates!!

But he sound very unmature, maybe he is only 13teen tears old, poor guy!!

That awkward moment when your English is much worse than a "13teen tear old".

No he wont be able to sue you. there is no such law. even there is - it has to be international law!

Many people have within their privacy policy that it is against their terms to link to them. I could see it holding up in some courts if the policy is well written.

I live in a different country from the guy. So I guess like some people said here there is no way to be sued.

while I am not a fan of neg seo, there's nothing that can stop anyone from doing it. So no, you're safe (At least I don't know any laws against it)

Lol so the guy ordered links, got what he asked for, and now threatens to sue because hes an idiot that thought that a fiver gig would rank his site safely. Nice joke. If I were you I'd make fun of him just for the fun of it. There is no law against building backlinks.

He himself ordered the links. He paid for those links. He asked you to build those links...

In directly if making Neg. SEO links is crime, He is the one who asked you to do it and paid you for it. So the crime started from him. How can he sue you for it?

Tell him you will sue him for $20k for even thinking about sueing you and then apologize and send him 10,000 free backlinks for his troubles :D

Don't take internet threatening seriously. He won't sue you.

I live in a different country from the guy. So I guess like some people said here there is no way to be sued.

Depends on your country and how the legal systems work together. In some european countries you can definitely get successfully sued for negative SEO, similar to hacking or DDOS. The fact that the guy himself ordered the links could be irrelevant if you didn't mention that these links are potentially harmful links. There was one case with a 3 year jail term plus a six digit sum in compensatory damages in 2013 for example.

I offer a gig on fiverr where I create some links (including adult sites are used sometimes) and today a buyer contacted me to remove their link from an adult site posted. I advised he that he can use the disavow tool but he is saying that he won't and I don't find a way to remove he will suit me for penalizing his site for 10,000 dollars using the argument that I have spammed his site. Can I be sued for this?

Suing for someone spamming his site? Wow, talk about your frivolous lawsuits. I think he is blowing smoke too and would be a moron to pay an attorney the money needed to even attempt to sue you. It's not illegal to backlink to someone's website and because it's not illegal Google started the whole disavowing tool. I wouldn't worry about it.

The fact that he refused to use the Disavow Tool would definitely hurt his case. There's no reason for him not to use it apart from pride. It's free for Pete's sake.

Don't worry about it. He has no legal leg to stand on.

Worst case scenario he will disturb Fiverr's Support for a while and they might (which i doubt it) send you a notification email just informing you about him. As most people here have said, it is actually not Your 'fault', but Google's algos that made his rankings drop. Just try to be patient and polite with him, he will forget it eventually!

I hear that in Brazil you can be sued for anything. It's the world's biggest bureaucracy ever. If you fix your toilet without filling a government form, they'll sue you. I saw it in a movie.
