I am currently creating a product and need to copyright it and write up some TOS. Is it possible to do this for free?

in the UK copyright is free which is just amazingly great..... TOS are easily done just go and look at your competition or similar products and copy and edit :)

there you go all done for freeeee
 
thanks lewi, is there a website where I can get it copyrighted or something?
 
ive never actually done the whole copyright thing however i think as long as you stick a copyright logo thingy there and can prove you made it with time stamps.... make cd's that are dated digitally etc then anything that goes wrong can be proved that you made it and its yours and the dates etc..... but protect your back and go do some research

i.e. google 'copyright in new zealand'
 
Yea, actually since '89 it's pretty much a given that anything you do is copyrighted automatically, especially that which you have emailed to yourself on a server that you have no access to.

Basically, if you mail yourself your product IN EMAIL on a server that is huge and corporate and that you know you cannot edit, like yahoomail, it is a legal form of copyright.

Also, I doubt anyone will steal your product. They will re-write it, and unfortunately there is nothing you can do about that.
