Can a plagiarism program detect a translated article?

If I find some excellent Chinese articles, use Google Translate, translate these articles from Chinese to English, make sure to eliminate all the grammatical mistakes, then publish these English articles.

No it can not, i have a construction information site that i build out of Dutch content translated into English in a time that the translator wasn't half as good as it is now and it is ranking fine. If Google wanted to check that it had to translate all new content into all languages to see if that is plagiarism. Do you know how much computer power that will cost?

I have a pbn site with lots of translated content (English to Spanish). It's clean on copyscape and no penalties so far.
