So I have a wordpress site, I manually replaced homepage photos with specific images, the only issue is, these photos are in the cache directory, so every time cache is cleared, so are the images. Do you have any suggestions to prevent clearing of the cache directory?

I tried restricting permissions to 755, but that did not help. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

The images you are manually updating, are you saving these images under the same file name than your current images? You can try and save these images under the same name but maybe add like a query variable (?v=5) at the end.
